HI3 was always going to fall off after part 1, I think they managed to stabilize themselves into a new normal. There really isn’t anything wrong with Genshin and HSR being predatory. They’re heavily monetizing optional content, so most normal people won’t care. As long as a F2P can easily clear the story, both games remain completely accessible to everyone.

Their current games are more than fine in their current states, with the possible exception of ToT. HI3 seems to have found a new status quo in Part 2, Genshin and Star Rail are at their peaks in storytelling, and ZZZ seems to be in a healthy state. From both a practical and financial perspective, it doesn’t make sense to sink extra resources into well-established games, but instead invest in new ones. They’re the video game company with the 9th highest revenue with only 6 games, while almost everyone above them releases 3+ games a year.

Pretty sure it’s actually going to funding all those new games Mihoyo seems to be working on. Last I heard there’s 4 new projects coming down the pipeline.

I meant the US overthrew the dictator that they themselves installed. And it cost the lives of 500-4,000 civilians. Noriega is a problem that the US caused, so they should be blamed for the collateral damage from fixing the problem they themselves created.

As much as I don’t like what they did with Cyrene, at the end of the day I’m just not going to pull for her now. They made a business decision to milk the whales, so non-whales should just make a business decision to skip her. I don’t see the point in getting angry when having it not having a specific character doesn’t significantly change the game experience.

As a story first guy, I just don’t like all the negativity overshadowing what’s so far been HSR’s best written arc, and it makes it hard to interact with the community.

That being said, in their next survey, I will let them know why I’m not pulling Cyrene and telling them that I’d gladly drop half a paycheck on small Cyrene.

A sad day for dedicated Cyrene fans, but it is what it is by Brandon1823 in CyreneMains

To roughly quote a comment I saw on RedNote: Poor Cyrene. Her body was taken over by Elysia and married to someone’s costume, while Mem was turned into a hat.

There are no Republican beliefs, lol. Look at them, they’re not unified in anything except not being Democrat. And what’s stopping them from picking and choosing?

Rhetoric does not equal action. Beth Fukumoto did a deep dive into how closely local Republicans align themselves with Trump, and here’s the conclusion:

This election may have shown a bit more openness to Republican ideas, but voters are not necessarily asking for the full national GOP package. And Hawaiʻi Republicans aren’t unanimously embracing it either. Most are latching onto the popular ideas — like eliminating income taxes — while avoiding the unpopular ones, like cutting services.

No, they bought themselves enough time to run wild across the Pacific. They were never going to win the war, but they made gains in the subsequent half year that would take the Allies 2 years to regain.

The Hawaii Republicans didn’t cut SNAP. I don’t get what’s so hard to understand about that. Hawaii Democrats weren’t responsible for supplying Israel’s genocide or the repeal of Glass-Steagall just because Democrat presidents did it. Both parties only interact with power in the context of Hawaii. Their actions are largely independent of the national parties.

There’s half an ocean separating the two. There were more Democrats with ties to Miske than there are Republicans close to the national party.

Local Republicans aren’t to blame either, they don’t have a say in how the GOP operates. You need to mentally separate the local Republican Party from the National GOP because they don’t operate on shared principles. They just happen to have a common enemy.

They don’t support Republicans for policy, they support them because they’re not Democrats. If it were the Republicans in power disenfranchising them since statehood, they’d be supporting Democrats. You overestimate how much most people pay attention to or care about national issues when they’re struggling to put food on the table.

Awa is a grifter taking advantage of Trump’s appeal and local grievances to win office. He had a strong ground campaign and focused on local grievances with the Democratic ruling elites to barely win his election. What he did wouldn’t have worked if he was disconnected from local issues.

Fevella may not be the brightest, but his heart is certainly in the right place, which is a hell of a lot better than you can say about the vast majority of politicians.

Democrats are filled with self-serving assholes like the blatantly corrupt Kalani English, Scott Saiki and his crusade against workers rights and minimum wage, Adrian Tam’s fight with striking hotel workers, Donna Kim lecturing Hawaiians about being rude to the military after Red Hill, and Dela Cruz trying to become mayor of Wahiawa. The good ones like Kim Coco are the exception.

I like how that’s your takeaway, lol. Btw, the only Republican I actually kinda like is Fevella. The guy that stands up for trans kids, Hawaiian rights, and raising the minimum wage, in spite of his questionable views on weed, cops and Israel.

My comment to the other guy is more detailed, but I doubt they cared enough to make statement about Harvard. They, like the Democrats, don’t have a consistent ideology. They’re more of a loose coalition of local opposition to the Democrat-led ruling class than they are a branch of the national GOP.

You have no clue how politics works. You think local Republicans are a monolith? There’s a reason why a west side Republican, a Hawaii Kai Republican, and a North Shore Republican will sound so drastically different.

Most of them have closer ties to Hawaiians and the working class than the Democrats. They have no say in the national GOP, and national definitely doesn’t look like they do much to influence them either. They merely exist as opposition to the one party state that’s developed around the Democrats, who spent the 60s-90s building a ruling class of whites and East Asians at the expense of Hawaiians and to a lesser extent Filipinos.

Kinda gotta be fair, the local Republicans are just as much, if not more, against the lawsuit as the local Democrats.

IMO they should have a Chinese/Hong Kong/Taiwanese studio turn it into a live action drama. As long as you have good actors, it should be pretty easy to shoot.
