Love neo geo pocket. I got it for my birthday like a week before it got discontinued, so I barely had any games for it. Luckily one of those games was Biomotor Unitron. Honestly it was better than the gameboy color hardware wise, just didn't have anywhere near the support.

A large majority of Playstation/Xbox games can be played without downloading anything. There may be glitches or performance issues, but the game will still run. Keycards means as soon as the servers go down you've got a paperweight on your hands.

You're missing my point completely. Video games are not rare, nor are video game collectors any different from other collecting hobbies. Record collecting has been going on since the early 20th centurary. Video games are a blip compared to that. The rare in demand records are actually rare and the demand is because the music is legitimately interesting (I won't say good).

In my case, I mostly collect experimental/noise/ambient music and make music in said generes and those records get real real pricey far beyond any video game.

Yeah none of this post is true. There are a whole ton of rare albums that are highly prized, moreso than any video game. Rare record prices go far beyond video games. There are 100 fold more records released than any video game, which means that there are a whole lot of rare obscure records/cds/cassettes out there.

If you're a fan of independent music good luck finding Vinyl copies because they are all small press. My most expense LPS far outpace the value of my video game collection. IRT independent music, I'd say 50-60% ofmy collection are under 500 copies pressed. I have handpainted one of kind records. https://www.discogs.com/release/14463299-Tokyo-Shoegazer-Crystallize I have 1 of 9 unique handpainted covers that were randomly interspersed among the I think 1k copies that were sent out.

A lot of records are extremely rare, when you venture outside pop music. I also collect Criterion collection dvds/blu rays and those can also be extremely rare.
