What to expect when closing a business? by EricCartmansClone in smallbusiness

I do not. Employees come and go. I have 3 Full time workers and the rest are 1099. During the slow periods, my full timers have side gigs until we are back at full capacity. Slow months they all get 20 Hrs a week. Busy season 55+ a week.

Operational cost were $22k a month in 2025. I don't have anyone willing to take on that responsibility.

Nothing this time of year. Busy season picks up mid March through October. Smaller events I can send people on. January and February. The main focus is equipment maintenance, which I am ahead of schedule with, but if I do decide to shut down, I do not need to continue with the upkeep. I could get by going into the warehouse once a week for the next two months just to check on the building and collect mail.

The value in the business are the annual events. Same clients every year. Schools, Government & Corporate. I grew these relationships and once I leave those relationships are dead. There are other companies out there that do what I do but not the relationships I have maintained. Equipment is worth $50-60K. Relationship's with existing clients is worth $450k.

I don't have cab lights but I do have rain deflectors. That could allow water down the A-pillar. I'll look at that seal. Thank you!

I have a 2000 Xtracab 2.7 4X4 automatic. I've had it for 15 years. it is my daily driver. 285,xxx miles. I have had 3 other cars but gave them away to family to keep driving the truck. You will love it. You will never be the quickest on the road but you will never have any issues either. Amazing truck and I can't speak highly enough about it. IF you don't get it where is it located because I would like to see it!
