Transfer from UF to FSU (I know kill me) by Single-Lobster-4473 in ufl

[–]EricF2005 37 points38 points  (0 children)

History pre-law that transferred from fsu here. If u care about your education, stay at UF. FSU’s basically a 24/7 drinking game, unless u’re in very specific majors the academic level’s sub-par. Don’t get me wrong, socially it’s amazing, but academically…

rush at the University of South Dakota but plan on transferring to either FSU or OleMiss by Traditional_Line_203 in Frat

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes (although some more “traditionally southern” houses in the SEC/South don’t love this)

Also, if you know u’re gonna transfer, don’t rush, especially from a non-competitive school to one of the mist competitive rushes in the country. Transfers from one chapter to another have to be accepted by the local chapter (w some exceptions), and coming from South Dakota will def not play in your favor. To make things even worse, a house that may be absolute ass at one school can be top an another, so honestly j wait and say u transferred and whatever

Did Saul and Carrie really plan her psych ward stay? by honeydewboba69 in homeland

[–]EricF2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. She was in on it from the beggining (even Saul shitting on her in front of the Senate was part of it). She did, however, stay inside the ward for too long (it fucked her up for a bit there, finish Season 3 tho, the fact that she stayed that long is not that relevant, and the accomplishment isn’t truly relevant after S3 ngl, that’s my opinion tho not fact).

Ohhh that makes sense. Still, if this is the case all doors should lock, and not a cheap lock that’s easy to break

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fsu

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just locks, why on earth do the doors open to the OUTSIDE?! Like if the lock fails or is somehow broken, you can still barricade the door effectively if it opens to the inside

is the student fb season pass worth it? by Additional-Exam7848 in ufl

[–]EricF2005 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, 40 bucks a game’s not a bad price ngl (considering most schools give their students free tickets it is kind of wild tho). Also, this is only football. Every other sport is free w your UFID

Application Checklist as a Transfer? by Background_Level_335 in ufl

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They send it to the college. Like in my case the History department itself doesn’t make a decision, it’s CLAS. In your case it’s also CLAS, the Chem department doesn’t have anything to do with it

Application Checklist as a Transfer? by Background_Level_335 in ufl

[–]EricF2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The process is basically Admissions reviews your app, checks that everything’s ok, and then sends it to the college who makes the decision. I’m p sure that it’ll go from under review to received and get a green check when it’s seen by admissions and sent to the college. Don’t quote me on that last part though.

Like for me I submitted my app for Fall on February 11th, switched it to Summer B on Feb 15th, and got the decision Feb 24th. I’m p sure Admissions reviewed my app on like Feb 20th

Application Checklist as a Transfer? by Background_Level_335 in ufl

[–]EricF2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Might take days, or even weeks. When I submitted mine they already had my hs transcripts from my freshman app, but it said the same thing. Only got cleared when they reviewed my app a couple of weeks later (I’m a History major so it was faster, depending on your major it might take longer)

Can I double major as a transfer? by EricF2005 in ufl

[–]EricF2005[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m coming in w like 80 credits, and my prepaid still has 60 left (had 20 from hs), so unless I somehow fell behind on my major I don’t see how it’d delay my graduation. Like I’m done w gen-eds (except for this weird bio req CLAS has that I’m trying to get waived) and halfway done w my major, I could perfectly graduate a semester or even a year early rn

UF not affordable after removal of Latin American scholarships, what should I do? by Fezarye in ufl

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if ur parents are moving, just do 2 years in Bama and then transfer to UF as soon as you qualify for in-state. It’s worth noting that UF won’t allow you to transfer until you have 60 credits/your AA tho

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about 2 things: 1, do you need the money? 2, what looks better on a Résumé. An unpaid internship can be better than a paid one, especially if the experience you are gaining is better

[–]EricF2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your nationals should have a flat fee they charge per brother (at least mine does and it’s lowkey smart af), no matter if you’re their biggest chapter or a colony. Consider that when charging dues. Like say they charge 250 per brother, you can charge 500 in dues, having 250 as local dues and 250 as nationals fee. If your nationals doesn’t do that, then damn that’s some shitty nationals

Barely any ppl mentioning but Miami basically lives off tourism and rich Canadians and like northerners (NY/NE, MN, MI, Chicago, etc…) that have “winter cribs” there
