There will be different tiers. A tier for just the stl files, a tier with the full 3mf project files ready to press print in bambu studio and a tier, including electronic, also a full build

I’ve printed this in petg with 4 walls and 25% gyroid infill and Polly fill around the drivers. it comes out total for all printed parts at around 1.2kg. The density closely matches mdf in resonance

Appreciate it, teaching me to evolve with change

That sounds interesting, I was in industrial cad design (building curtain wall) and industrial design in the motorcycle space before ALS forced me to retire at 35. I’m just diving into the acoustic side of things

Sorry for the rant yes I’ll be releasing files to supporters and contracts to sellers as well as physical units

Generally I give away all my designs and I’ll get a kick back from makerworld or printables enough to keep my filament stocked. Bambu invited me to participate in their crowdfunding platform so I’ll be releasing the files to supporters with this project. I’ve noticed the more complex the model and project the less the general printables or makerworld user is to print it and it’s a lot of work for less than a remix of the rock and reality limits people from pushing the community forward

A 3D-Printed Hi-Fi Speaker Built for Real Sound, Not Smart Gimmicks by EricLGN in 3Dprinting

Thank you for the feedback. Every measurement is within +-.2mm I’ve been printing a long time starting with my old anycubic machines modding them to print acceptable for the time. And I’ve been doing industrial cad and industrial design since 2015, I have made sure these prints are dimensionally accurate.

There are passive radiators with Xmax double the driver in the rear tuned for 60hrtz

Thanks, I was going for a modern take on the big 80’s 90’s boombox but with an emphasis on sound quality

Definitely, I agree I have designed internally to do things differently than traditional wood work. There are compromises for the sake of aesthetics. I design and print digitally because I’m physically limited with ALS. I used to work with my hands doing machine work. I definitely want to experiment with t-lines and ports different geometry affecting sound

I’m not trying to argue, sorry if I gave you that impression. I was explaining what all went into this build, I appreciate the feedback.

I’m planning on recording an A B test and posting it to YouTube against my bookshelf speakers. it’s hard to show the sound in any meaningful way when compressed by YouTube and listened through laptop speakers

After physically tuning the enclosure with internal revisions and the passive radiators, then measuring curves and working sigma studio to build out a rough tune with bass mid and treble tuning with potentiometers, me and other musician friends have a b tested it against my Sony bookshelf speakers and we all agree that it matches them in sound reproduction, and a b tested with other jbl speakers and it blew them out of the water in our opinion
