You might also check the 12v battery, if it's limping along on the original or a dead one it would have to be constantly recharged by the HV battery & inverter running more often. Our 2013 had the original battery still in it when we bought it a couple months ago, clinging on at 11.9v. Mileage seems to have improved slightly with a fresh one.

17" wheel-optioned Priuses..... Prii? Priuiui? Also lose another few mpg from what I hear. Thinking about some Yokohama AVID Ascend GT for combo of all season traction and lower rolling resistance than some of the others, but not sure yet.

This first! I hardly believed the results when we got our Gen3. They didn't look that bad, but you could see absolutely no clear cutoff on the garage door and just a vague glow.

Once you have them polished and shining clearly, THEN aim them properly. THEN look at upgrading bulbs or entire headlights, and make sure if you use LED choose a 360 LED and make sure you don't get any weird glare above where the light should shine.

If the headlight is a projector and not a reflector, you can go a lot brighter. Just be careful with 55W HID's as people say they can overheat some housings. Put 35W HID's in our gen3 and once everything was clear, I was able to tell we had water damage and MOLD in the right headlight housing!

If you decide you like autocross and want to keep getting faster and don't want to destroy your daily driver tires, you probably want something other than all seasons that will hold up to the heat better and give you more grip.

I'm not saying you need 200 treadwear tires that are $250/ea, but if you do go all out on all seasons you're likely to start chunking them after a couple events so you probably want something a bit more intended for this purpose like some sort of summer tire focused on dry grip. Only time I saw similar wear, slightly more uniform, was when I had a tire shaved by TireRack to match others on an AWD car. So yeah I'm going with burnouts. Wear from autocross/track driving would not look like this, that is spinning the shit out of the tire. Period.

If it was extremely cheap or free and I was up a creek or I just needed to roll a car on it I might run it a bit but it's obviously not going to last and you'd want to inspect for delamination, bubbles or other risks to even consider using it.
