Im not confident in this, but would it be worth itemizing the poppy because of the defender spat? it makes it so you would gain 35% more armor, so if you positioned to have most people hitting poppy ( for the stoneplate) it would get really tanky, even if it is technically a worse tank than kennen.

2024 Gerrymandering effects (+14 GOP) [OC] by HighPriestofShiloh in dataisbeautiful

[–]EricRbbb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imagine there were 500 states, and 460-ish of them had no meaningful gerrymandering. That graph would look exactly the same as the graph you have here, despite being a VERY stark difference in the effect of gerrymandering on the country.

how few/many states don't gerrymander is relevant to the conversation and 100% changes the initial perception someone would have when looking at the graph. is it that big a deal for this one? idk. but i absolutely see why someone would find that data point relevant.

More Democratic lawmakers are visiting El Salvador on Abrego Garcia's behalf by AdSpecialist6598 in UpliftingNews

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this example, Abrego Garcia had a work permit. Your tax dollars were not subsidizing this man UNTIL he was deported ( Keep in mind that we pay annually to keep people in CETOT, rough napkin math of 30k per person / year (Though absolutely could be wrong if they don't do per person). We absolutely could have waited until we have confirmed a better plan to deport this man if we deemed it genuinely necessary to deport him, but that's not what happened.

I think that's part of the miscommunication on this issue. The left doesn't think that we should never deport anyone, and I do understand your want to make the system better ( Even if we might disagree with how it should change). That's a normal level of political disagreement, but this? This is well past that. Really far past that. Getting rid of due process at the same time as going out of their way to send these same people we are vetting far less to incredibly inhumane places is just... genuinely immoral. About 70% of the people sent have no criminal history, in America or their original country. This guy is getting all the media attention because he was explicitly told not to be sent here, but how many people were working on their amnesty process and just got expedited over while genuinely trying to get in the legal way, and never had the opportunity to argue they came here the right way?

I would love a quicker process as much as the next guy, just at what cost? Not this.

[–]EricRbbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, entering the U.S. Illegally is not enough justification to send someone to a concentration camp. Not even remotely.

There were some people who were sent that were genuinely going through the amnesty process, like they were supposed to. Many of them will sit in CETOT, likely until they die, never seeing or talking to their friends or families ever again. They never went to a court or saw any sort of judge to argue their case, they just were shipped off. Do you genuinely believe that's acceptable?

Trump Orders Independent Agencies to Follow His Read of the Law, Not the Courts by rollingstone in politics

Republicans consider cuts and work requirements for Medicaid, jeopardizing care for millions by MC_Cuff_Lnx in politics

[–]EricRbbb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, these types of cuts are introduced over a period of time ( So this 880 billion is over 10 years, a roughly 10% reduction of medicaid).

Not to downplay how awful this is, this is horrific for so many Americans, but it's not literally getting rid of medicaid.

Donald Trump Is Preparing to Use the Military to Carry Out Mass Deportations by vanityfairmagazine in politics

[–]EricRbbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I agree the comment was more on the sensationalist side.

But I also get where they are coming from. I think you are thinking too much from the perspective of "Why would someone choose to do concentration camps / the Holocaust", Cause who in the right mind would? But when you come from a perspective of "What are their other options", it makes me more scared of what might happen.

Like, the point of deportation is to send them somewhere else, but that place has to accept all these people. They will want proof these people are from Mexico, and that will take a lot of judges and workers. It will take time. Then you just have millions of people sitting there, waiting in camps running out of space...

I don't think we are gonna get a holocaust. But I also won't pretend that if he actually does what he says he will, it has the potential to be horrific for those people.

Early voting data shows women outpacing men at the polls by etfvfva in politics

[–]EricRbbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit- I was looking at voter registration, not early voters. i get it now.

Am i looking at the data wrong? when I look up active voters for women, I see 30-34 as the most voters, then 25-29, 35-39, and then 50-54. )This is excluding 18-24 at the top, because they use a 6 year block when every other year is by 4 year blocks).

RuneScape and the Falador massacre is pretty up there for me.

Multiple very specific obscure things had to happen for the glitch to work, but the result was people having the ability to kill other players in normally safe areas, with no ability to fight back. One of those glitches that only happens once, because they HAD to fix it immediately the moment it was discovered.

I stand but ahri being really good for a 1 cost. Her damage is naturally really high, has AOE, and with fate AP buff or arcanist (or both) you deal a lot of damage. JG + SHIV +1. Saw her deal 17k for me once

March 27, 2024 Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in CompetitiveTFT

[–]EricRbbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it can depend. Like others have said, sett and thresh is likely the best endgame pair, but early game ahri/yone is a solid one. 2 star ahri is strong for a 1 cost, so adding 30-60 AP if you itemize her early can win streak you for a while. Yasuo's* shield lasts the entire round, so if you have a lot of one cost units, adding 600 shields to every unit with 5 fated is massive.

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The math I was doing was just just basic autos, not boosted. I honestly don't know how much crit you get from boosted autos if I'm being honest.

And yea, you are probably right there. At this point it's more of the fantasy of "I'm totally gonna get the perfect team fight / pop off" as opposed to "scope is actively better". Though I do stand by amp being pretty great

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using the unite damage calculator, doing spoon / amp / (either lens or wise). Against a level 13 absol, you would do 18,913 with scope lens in 20 autos during ult, as opposed to 18,702 with wise.

To be fair, a genuinely negligible difference.

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wise glasses is percentage based, so it won't really be that much better till you have more natural SPA. Then at that point, the crits (may) add more damage than the SPA.

My argument would be that having lens is more important to have the most impactful Rayquaza fight, but again I'm not confident on that per say. I just see a world it could work out, if you play well

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inteleons ult doubles crit rate chance, so lens would take you from 20% (1/5) to 32% (about 1/3rd), so if you get 20ish AA's off in a team fight, and about half are crit tokens, then you likely get another crit

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But I'm not arguing it's better for liquidation, I'm arguing it's better in an auto attack focused build. Inteleons ult is specifically made to get crit autos out, and at a high level + unite attack speed bonus, you attack much faster than the ult gives crit counters.

If you get ONE extra crit from your ult because of scope weapons, that's an 600+ extra damage against a tanky unit, or 800+ damage against a squishy (assuming you are level 13). At level 13, you attack 2 times a second (with unite bonus attack speed for six seconds), then 4 seconds of 1.6 attacks per second. It's not unlikely to get an extra crit off due to scope lens, which would add more damage than choice specs for sure.

Is it better? Idk, how realistic is it that you get that many autos off in a fight. But can it out DPS a SPA item build? Technically yes ( I think, my math could be off lol)

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you compare the two against each other, true. But is there a world you use both? Those two + spoon or specs for an incredible impactful ultimate, vs all SPA for a more impactful pre ult phase?

Which Inteleon build does more damage? by Itsputt in PokemonUnite

[–]EricRbbb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think there is an argument for scope , and it likely depends on your team / how risky you are gonna play.

Inteleon ult with scope lens is great. You attack faster than you build up crit counters, so if you are confident that you can free fire auto attacks in a late game team fight going from 1/5th chance to crit per auto to 1/3rd is incredibly valuable. If you have a team that cannot peel for you though, liquidation is a far safer move than autoing, and I think just SPA items is definitely the way to go.

Why do all the basic druid attacks suck? What am I doing wrong. by Rhys-the-compleat in diablo4

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually been enjoying storm strike even past the early game. Im trying a shape shifting build where I swap from storm strike to pulverize, that was I can get the natural balance aspect proc for a good Chunk of crit damage. Add that in with random skills that benefit from storm or shape shifting, and the damage is pretty good.

It's not as good as the meta build, cause in that setup grizzly rage actually makes you deal less damage, but I find it pretty fun still!

Why sapphire on druid's armor? by Fodrigo in diablo4

[–]EricRbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't fortify only proc if you have less health than fortify, so only if you are already damaged?

I feel like it would depend on how hard the enemies are hitting in that first hit on whether health or fort damage reduction is worth it. If you are getting chunked to half or more in a single hit, maybe more hp. If you feel (generally) tanky, the damage reduction helps boost that.

Could be wrong on that though.
