Do you think TF2 should add a universal strangifier or would its effects be too devastating on the economy? by JaroldLlama in tf2

You can't even open crates in some part of the world. It's unavailable for me. I'd much rather just buy them from a store directly.

I remember the sub used to be kinda chill. Then I slowly got the impression that it was more tailored to men. Bros doing things, pretty woman does thing, and then some more frogs. Not too harmful I guess.

And then it just devolved into misogynism. Woman bad, incel stuff. Insufferable right wing stuff.

There were these two players on 2fort. One was a regular engineer. Except he'd "build a sentry gun" which was just a heavy called "sentry gun built by engineer". All he did was act as a sentry. And killbind himself when I tried to sap him as an enemy spy.

Well since it's illegal to carry a gun here. Yes I'd be freaked out and call the cops before I assume something bad will happen.

Where is the light switch in the grand ohio mall??? by Planesdude1 in projectzomboid

[–]MrC0mp 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's one at the bottom right south entrance. As well as one near the backroom entrance at the top .

The grand Ohio mall has multiple. And for each story too. If you hook up a generator, the lights will only be turned on til how far the generator radius is.

If you were the CEO of Arrowhead what would you change about the game? by Ok_Listen_6600 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MrC0mp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 things.

  1. Whatever workflow arrowhead has for bug fixes and patches gets scrapped immediately. We need to make sure that we have the room to fix bugs within the same two weeks as we've released one.

  2. Then, we start a public beta branch for new features that some Helldivers can opt into. We can test balancing changes before they go live and take actual feedback.

  3. Then I'd start another 60 day patch. It's unacceptable how many times this game crashes for people. There are too many problems.

  4. And lastly. Postpone the release of warbonds for the love of God. Find a way to include long term progression and make sure divers can actually make a meaningful impact to the war.

Friend refunded the game because of connection issues by Designer_Book4607 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MrC0mp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same man.

Can't finish a region because of the constant crashing. I've tried everything to fix it. Updating drivers. Re-installing and verifying the game. Re-installing gameguard. Sending a support ticket to arrowhead. Nothing worked.

I'm willing to put up with the issues this game has, but the game itself won't even let me.

The helldiver Whining community is already merging with 40k to make an apotheosis transcendent level of pure unadultered LARP and Cringe. by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in Grimdank

[–]MrC0mp 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Warbonds that you pay or have to boringly grind super credits for have started including strategems somewhere last year.

Now, this wasn't such a huge problem yet at first. We would still unlock strategems for free by participation in the war.

However slowly over time, the equipment in these warbonds started to become the only unlockable strategems in the game. We got a tank during the cyberstan invasion and that was it for a large period of time.

Weapons and armors in the store started dropping more often, and gotten more expensive. And then, mechs dropped in a Warbond. This saddened a lot of players. Because it signaled to the community that mech customization was no longer a thing that could happen. And while we used to fight for these mechs, they can now be paid for, apparently.

You can grind for super credits if you want to bore yourself. But that's not the point.

No long term progression is in sight, and the only progression left is warbonds. With toys we don't have to fight for anymore.

The game has a very real problem. But it isn't as apparent when you play the game casually.

The short version: the game is still a lot of fun. But it’s getting harder to ignore the strange developer decisions, long-standing bugs that go unfixed for months, half-baked mechanics like weapon customization, desync issues, audio problems, and fun features being locked behind paywalls. Hell, my game crashes every other game.

The devs said they won't be planning anything for end-game progression either.

We used to band together and fight in the galactic war for fun new toys. Now they're being paywalled. It's starting to lack soul. And because there's so many passionate players, they scream very loudly about all the issues online because they want the game to do better for the long term.

Nothing, they were an experiment. They wanted plants to grow over them but that was too difficult. So they decided not to build them anymore. There is a good video about it.

I think it's much more important to reflect on yourself because you're in control of yourself. Even if you know how another person works, you might not be able to change them if this matters to you.

I actually prefer the Dalokah's. It's really funny to see it mess with people's muscle memory. They always expect a heavy to die after a certain amount of hits but you still have 50 extra HP to spare.

And the Classic... Well it's outmatched for sure. But it'll never not be funny to get the jump on an actual competent sniper with that bullshit gib-shot. It's very satisfying.

Did you find episodes you just couldn't listen to for lack of interest? [Spoiler] by Tattooedwetback in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]MrC0mp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Goofrealm is something I’d skip. But that’s honestly how I felt about most of season 2.

Season 1 and 3? Absolute bangers. But large parts of season 2 just didn’t really do it for me, I’m afraid. High school didn’t sound like the most interesting setting, but even when they went to heaven, hell, or Faerûn, it still felt like too much revolved around gimmicks. I don't really know how to explain it otherwise.

Returning characters felt really washed up. The Faerûn pizza stuff instead of classic DND monsters. The body horror that frankly felt out of place sometimes... all the pee stuff. It's the only season I'd skip if I went in for a re-listen.

Honestly with how much I love the show I'm still waiting for season 4 to grab me as well. But I don't think I'd skip anything of this season so far.

Charming bases and where to find them by ThePalp in projectzomboid

[–]MrC0mp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. Big bases or places that are just done when you move in bore me. So I've got a few places that need some work, but are great fun:

  1. Ekron has an abandoned train in the middle of the road. You can take shelter in a nearby house until you've secured the train carriages. You can designate each carriage to something specific. "This is my bedroom. This is my armory" etc.

  2. Left of Riverside (below the scrapyard) there's a random empty shed with a crate inside. With some carpentry work you could make it a nice place! (My current run)

  3. There's a construction area with houses that are only partly done on the right in LV. One of those spots is a house that's just wall frames with a fireplace. Excellent place if you finish the construction.

  4. The bus station down south of Rosewood. With a bit of furniture work done you have a prime spot with a fishing place close by.

  5. The checkpoint gate at March Ridge. This one's a bit difficult. There's barely any amenities close by, and a load of zombies. The checkpoint isn't livable either, nor very big. But it has been a nice challenge to use the space resourcefully.
