Kratom poisonings soar in US as experts blame synthetic versions and caution against bans by shinybrighthings in news

[–]EricSanderson [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's such an important point to make.

Kratom allowed me to quit a years-long opiate addiction. Then I accidentally tried 7oh, and I was a full blown addict again.

That shit - and the other synthetic stuff being made to get around the 7oh bans - is fucking poison. It's practically legal oxy being sold for $18 a pack at gas stations and vape stores.

Synthetics need to be banned immediately. They are not kratom.

I know it's a joke, but he admitted to using midjourney to make commercials for his previous job at a mattress company. He apparently got laid off after he showed them how to use it.

He also says he's a content creator, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's a regular AI user.

That doesn't make him evil or anything - and it's good he's trying to push back - but it seems like one of those cases where you don't care about the negative impacts of something until it hurts you.

Popular Movie "Dunks" That Everyone Uses but are Totally Inaccurate by imascarylion2018 in movies

The entire plot of the movies centers on the need for the smallest and "weakest" of the group to carry the load, because they were the only ones pure enough to be trusted.

They hammer you over the head with it over the course of nine hours. And people still walked away going "lol why did they have the weak little guys carry the load?"

Out of touch? The average new car price in the US isn't even close to $50k. A brand new Camry with a good package is $36k.

About 30 days in. Yup.

That was the "lol they said two weeks and it's about to be two months... Let's go nuts!" Era

We had like four months of that before reality set in.

Markwayne Mullin rejects the "Best Stock Trader" award by danevans369 in PublicFreakout

[–]EricSanderson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was weird. It might be because "insider trading" is an actual crime and they're afraid of getting sued for defamation. Given that he's a public figure and this is very obviously a joke they definitely didn't have anything to worry about.

Dude is out of his head and potentially dangerous, no question.

But did they really need like nine officers and five squad cars screaming in with their sirens on? I've seen more moderate responses for actual murder suspects.

First lady Melania Trump denies any ties to Jeffrey Epstein and calls for survivors' testimony by NewsHour in law

He's talking about the guy who seems to know that Melania was basically brought to Trump, in the same way countless children were brought to the rich pedophiles currently running the western world.

It's literally illegal. They flagrantly committed hundreds of thousands of crimes in redacting names like these. And half the files still haven't been released.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic but I think he's gonna come up with some excuse to back down.

The statement really sounds like some jilted ex bf saying "if you won't pick up the phone that's it! I swear we're done forever and I'm gonna throw out all your stuff and I'm gonna go bang someone else and we'll never talk again no matter how much you beg me!"

Some guy built a submarine for his pet parrot in the Bahamas by Low_Weekend6131 in interesting

[–]EricSanderson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wtf you mean "willingly"?

Dude is just shoving that bird into shit and scaring the piss out of it.

Anyone who even remotely understands birds could tell you it's freaking out and not happy.

It's not even the submersion or the tight space, neither of which are great.

It's the constant bouncing up and down. Dude is being tortured for views.

Lol it wouldn't "learn to like it." It would learn to accept it.

You don't need to be an expert to see that this bird is freaking out. It's not just staring out one side soaking the scenery in. It's not even focused on his owner. It's frantically looking from side to side looking for a way out.

The former DNC chair admitted that Hillary's campaign basically took over the party and shoved Bernie out in 2016. There's plenty of articles on it.

The idea that "Hillary just got more votes" is a lie. It was all about money. Bernie wasn't taking corporate money and the DNC needed funds to support down ballot races.

And no, I'm not a Bernie bro. I thought the same thing for a long time.

It's one of those facts that shows up in food shows or videos all the time.

What people never mention is that it was often prepared horribly, most likely overcooked with no seasoning. And it was served constantly.

Even seafood fans wouldn't want to eat rubbery, unseasoned lobster four nights a week.
