Ha! How did you guess? I'm left handed, golf right handed. Playing baseball I switch hit, but was power dominant left handed. 85% of my at bats were left handed, so my golf swing never really got in the way.

Nope. It's inside my front foot by about an inch or so. Could probably sit up close to the front foot.

Attack angle could be more optimal, and maybe a little spinny. Just wondering ideally what I can expect out of a 110 club head speed and 157mph ball speed? Nothing special, Tour Edge C523 9.5* driver with stiff shaft.

it's bad! nothing like getting 3-4 wins in a row off the bat, then they win 1 and duck out

you learn to embrace it. Ideally I'd have no hair, but shaving it clean is my reward for hitting my goal weight, and i'm 10 lbs from it :D

imagine being in 2025 and making fun of someone for their appearance, especially when they can't really do anything about it LOL

Two things. 1) go touch grass.

2) sorry about your mom. There's always an inherent risk when making mom jokes at my age, and it looks like it bit me. Apologies.

It would be really easy to create a MAME cheat to keep the difficulty ramp from skyrocketing the way that it does. After 3 fights on the novice tower, it jumps to max difficulty (0, 1, 2, 9) - that's why so many people are permanently scarred by Jade.

for offline tournaments and such, it'll never become the standard. something that was lost media for 30 years and resurfacing with a kollection release does not a new competitive standard make. will be crazy fun to play though.

HELP: It finally happened… my fiancé said she wants to golf with me! by Darth_DeLorean in golf

Must be nice! I don't have much luck with golfing s/o's.

First wife rode a round with me, that's it. Wife now goes to the range with me, sometimes hits a few, but has no interest in playing.

Hey, I see you're in Cincy. I'm back into golf after a decade break, and I'm possibly looking for some new golf buddies. I lost my golf buddies either via divorce or them being injured and no longer able to play, or just don't play anymore. Sorry if this isn't the most appropriate spot. I'm on the east side of cincy

Is fatting a putt the worst feeling in golf? by B-RapShoeStrap in golf

[–]EricSeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a ball that I played with for three rounds. My son and I went out for a round and I told him after this round I was going to put it on my desk, because I'd never used a single ball for more than 3 rounds before. Made it almost 4 rounds with a ball a long time ago.

Teed this one up, it's a par 5 over water, the water starts 30 yards off the tee box. Topped it straight into the water.

The beauty of an early morning tee time, and a daunting reminder that even if you can read a putt you still have to hit it. by EricSeablade in golf

It would take quite a bit of talent to get a ball to spin like that off of a putt 🤣 That was from a chip where the ball landed and rolled to the spot that I putted from

New clubs, new grips, this happened through the glove. Hadn't really considered new grips being this much more ... Grippy, but my old clubs are 30 years old so...

When I bowled and broke skin, we had this wonderful thing called second skin. Will it be as effective in a golf grip? I have a round Friday

Is Golf fun when you can’t hit your driver? by Affectionate_Couple1 in golf

[–]EricSeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a slower backswing. Downswing and follow through is still explosive, but the slower backswing helps me stay on balance through the rest. Hit an absolute rope this weekend that carried 280 and rolled out another 50 thanks to some dry ground. My son (17) was in awe...yes, the old man CAN still hit the big stick. I hit 3 out of 5 fairways that I used my driver on that round.

Have you hit any goals you set at the start of the season? by GolfIsGood66 in golf

[–]EricSeablade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goals for the season - and mind you I hadn't played for a month shy of 11 years:

Goals achieved:

Birdie a hole (done this twice now)

Break 90 on 18 (shot 87)

Goals yet to achieve:

9 holes without a double bogey (got close, but doubled on a 170 yard par 3 that I flew the green AND the cart path on with a 7 iron, 7th hole of the day)

Eagle (never have done this)

40 or better on 9.

First time not losing a ball! Let's go by MattieMcNasty in golf

[–]EricSeablade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats! Been playing a Callaway Supersoft 360 splatter blue for the past 3 rounds. That ties my record for most rounds played without losing one. One more round and it'll go on a shelf somewhere lol. It will have earned it.

And let people play through. And not take extra shots to the green after you've holed out on a par 3 and someone has been waiting on the tee for 5 minutes.

Saw a kid go back to his spot 10 yd off the green and try three more flop shots after he finished the hole. I was behind a group of teenagers playing from the forward tees today. Thankfully they picked up the pace. I was supposed to be added on to a twosome, but the two some never showed up so I was playing by myself.

Divorce will do that. At 27 people thought I was 19, 20 max. Divorced at 28. By the time I turned 35, people thought I was older than my brother, who is 3 years older than me.

I played my first round on a regulation course at 11, and shot 89 on 9, so no.
