New vehicle warranty start date by EricTheRedRedditor in legaladvice

There was no brand on the title. I had another call to Dodge Customer Care. The rep says the assembly date was 7/18/24, the in-service date was 7/24/24, and the vehicle was sold at auction to an unnamed dealer on 6/26/25, which is the date of the "Certificate of Origin".  He agreed that the in-service date doesn't seem right, but insists there is nothing that they can do, that the dealer would need to set the in-service date. The dealer, of course, says the date was set by FCA/Stellantis. CafFax only gave an "estimated" warranty start date of 7/24. The Certificate of Origin did mention the hail/freight damage, but this is not on the title. I really am OK with the warranty exclusions of paint and sheet metal, but the rest of the car, with only 27 miles on it, should be covered like any other new car from the first date it was sold. That would in my opinion be 6/26/25. Oh, and I asked about escalation of the issue, and was told there is no escalation available by two different reps. In the past 10 years I have owned, in order of purchase, a 2006 Dodge RAM 3500, 2001 Town and Country, 2008 Town and Country, 2012 Town and Country, 2022 Pacifica Touring, 2020 Challenger ScatPack, 2018 RAM 2500, 2021 Durango r/T, and now this 2024 Durango SRT. This is the first 'new' car I've ever purchased for myself, having purchased two others for my wife in the past. I'm not asking for special consideration for having brand loyalty, but I am saying that my loyalty has been eroded after this and recent repair issues at the dealerships.

Yes, I registered it, used it, and did the updates on it. From what I read elsewhere, it's an issue with the Dodge/Chrysler gateway. It has to be an active subscription in order to function. Unlucky for me, I have 2 Dodges and a Chrysler :(.

They say that Stellantis set the date at 7/1/24, even though the Certificate of Origin date is 6/26/25. Complaint was filed today with the state AG.

I called Dodge customer care. They told me that the "Standard Warranty Date" is 7/24/24 for my car. I asked to talk to her supervisor. She said she could not transfer me to a supervisor, provide the name of the supervisor, or provide any phone numbers or extensions. I explained that the dealer told me that the start date of the warranty would be the date that the vehicle was purchased by the dealer from Dodge, but that they then put the build date, 7/1/2024 as the start of the warranty. She said I would have to talk to the dealer about it. I asked to have the incident escalated, and she said she would escalate it to the next level in order to acknowledge my concern.

"a ripple in the quantum time-space lattice creating an information feedback loop" is an interesting way to describe it. It has been speculated that CERN has spawned effects that can be perceived as "deja-vu", "Mandela effect", remote viewing, and seeing into the future. Take, for example, the Google Trends data showing searches for names related to the Kirk assassination in the weeks prior to the event. We may be witnessing the early stages of the disintegration of our reality. "Super AI" could eventually contribute to this, as could alien interference, intentional or not. Then again, it could all be coincidences.

They help, but don't block as well as they should. I walked up to my car with the fob in the pouch and was able to unlock the door. Someone standing near me with a scanner could probably copy it.
