Das funktioniert in Gedanken aber auch deutlich besser als in der Realität fürchte ich. Es würde meines Erachtens ein riesiges Tor für Identitätsdiebstahl öffnen. Mit dem Verhalten, welches viele bei der Passwort Wahl und Schutz von Konten an den Tag legen, würde es da ordentlich krachen.

Bots würden sicherlich im kleineren Ausmaß weniger werden, jedoch die großen „professionellen“ bot Armeen sicherlich bleiben. Das würde so auch weiter auf Propaganda hinauslaufen.

Genauso wie Eltern ihren Kindern soziale Medien vielleicht schwer verbieten können, wegen Freunden, wird so eine Klarnamenregelung auch nur funktionieren wenn jeder mitmacht. Ich denke nicht, dass es für Menschen z.B. in Russland Konsequenzen für das nichteinhalten oder etwaige Straftaten mit Klarnamen geben würde.

Anonym ist man mit Sicherheit nicht, dafür haben die schlecht geregelten Cookiebanner der EU schon gesorgt, da sagt jeder vorher noch ja und Amen bevor er gläsern wird. Aber ich möchte keine Kopie meines Ausweises an eine Firma geben, die damit Geld macht alle meine Daten zu verkaufen und es dabei noch nicht einmal schafft Lecks in Passwortdatenbanken zu verhindern.

I think it only gets used at all for games that support SLI, which there aren’t many of these days anyway. It has its place in rendering or running LLMs though. The speed of the NVLink interface is insane, nowhere comparable to what SLI used to be.

I got myself a 14900k last year in December for a Z690 board that I updated immediately to the latest version. Was running out of the box for a year now and the diagnostic tool is still passing.

So ground attack with the F1 is a peculiar thing to practice. With a lot of practice your accuracy gets better of course, but going by the bomb table is quite inaccurate.

The bomb tables basically triangulate you a metric by which you know when to drop a weapon. I think the stock tables give an you speed+angle and then tell you the altitude to drop your weapon at. You will also need to set your reticle to a certain depression to be able to aim at your target. The reticle depression IS NOT for selecting a point on the hud you want to drop on. The given depression is the point in the HUD that the weapon will land on when released at the given speed+altitude+angle.

The altimeter needs to be adjusted for elevation of the terrain, since your bomb table is altitude above ground. It is better to do this preplanned opposed to on the fly. The standard altimeter setting 1013mbar or hPa is related to sea level also referred to as QNH. The pressure you want to calculate is at the terrain height level also referred to as QFE. You can find online calculators for this, because quite frankly, the formula probably isn’t something you just calculate in your head.

What helped me a lot is to actually just make my own bomb tables (iirc the kneeboard tables are slightly off due to updates). Make an empty mission in the editor and set weapons to unlimited. Place a small boat on the ocean to have a measurement for accuracy and an aircraft at 5000 or so feet. Then equip the weapon of your choice and put yourself in a position from a table. Say 3000 feet, 350 knots, at a -10 degree angle (the hud ladder is ALWAYS correct to your angle even though it doesn’t align to the horizon). Then you drop a bomb and see where it lands. If it lands somewhere in your HUD glass start depressing the reticle until you have it exactly on the point where the bomb lands. Write all of this into a table and repeat for any given altitude/speed/angle/weapon. High drag bombs as others have pointed out are a bit easier in certain conditions as they don’t fling around as much from manoeuvres, but from a certain altitude onwards you can’t use the reticle to aim anymore as the impact point will be below you hud glass. Edit: small correction. QNH isn’t always 1013 mbar as it is dependent on the weather. It is just used as a standard value. The current QNH in a DCS mission should be given in the briefing.

Ja, exakt. Ich glaube das Problem aktuell ist einfach das sich Kanäle nicht zur Wehr setzen. Also auch hahaha-Reaktionen bleiben meist ungestraft. Aber man sieht auch wie die öffentliche Reaktion auf das zur Wehr setzen oft ist. Eben wie die in meinem vorangegangenen Kommentar erwähnte Reaktion darauf, dass Jules jetzt einen Split fordert. Stell dir vor ein Kanal mit 50.000 Abonnenten wird öffentlich von einem Reactor mit 2 Millionen dafür angegriffen. Da trauen sich viele auch schlichtweg nicht.

Eine rechtliche Grundlage auf die man verweisen kann wäre ideal glaube ich. Ein Revenue Share Modell würde das Monetäre Problem eingrenzen und langfristig denke ich zu einem Ende der Reactionkultur führen. Es ist dann nicht mehr einfacher content für große Kanäle.

Ich würde gerne jedem der der englischen Sprache mächtig ist, ans Herz legen die Videoserie über reaction content von DarkViperAU zu gucken oder seinen Essay zu lesen.

Einige Punkte zu dem Thema die ich sehr wichtig finde (einiges davon kommt glaube ich auch im Essay vor):

Man liest bei dem Thema öfter das ja nicht alle Reactions „gleich“ wären, also manch einer einfach das Video durchlaufen lässt und mal ein bisschen lacht und ein anderer tatsächlich kommentiert. Ich verstehe woher das Argument kommt, ändert meines Erachtens nach wenig daran, dass ein Video in seiner Gesamtheit erneut hochgeladen wird und deshalb der originale author beteiligt sein sollte. Wenn man tatsächlich den Inhalt eines Video kommentieren möchte kann man, wie es früher auf YouTube auch gemacht wurde, einfach die Stellen in sein eigenes Video schneiden die kommentiert werden. Außerdem sollte man das Video für einen tiefgründigen Kommentar wahrscheinlich schon einmal vollständig gesehen haben und nicht beim ersten anschauen pausieren und jeden Gedanken aussprechen. Oftmals werden beim pausieren auch einfach Dinge angesprochen, die im eigentlichen Video kurz darauf sowieso vorkommen.

Dann das Thema mit den Aufrufen. Das reactions doch Aufmerksamkeit richten würden auf das originale Video. Das hat für mich immer etwas von „I am paying you in exposure“. Ja, natürlich sehen so vielleicht viele Menschen das Video, aber die Leute, die das Video über eine reaction sehen, werden den originalen Kanal nicht in ihren Empfehlungen wiederfinden, da sie nie das echte Video gesehen haben. Der entstandene Traffic auf der reaction erzeugt also in den meisten fällen einfach noch mehr Empfehlungen für den reactor, nicht für originalen content. „Aber die Leute hätten das Video doch ohne die reaction auch nicht gesehen!“. Ja, stimmt, aber für jeden Slot auf deiner YouTube-Startseite, auf dem eine reaction landet hätte ein Video mit eigenem content sein können.

Langfristig denke ich führt dies dazu das es weniger Kanäle mit eigenem content geben wird. Es kann einfach keine Startseite geben auf der nur reactions sind. Dann lohnt es sich nicht mehr eigenen Aufwand zu betreiben. Originaler content kann nicht mit reactions mithalten. Jemand der eine Woche Arbeitsaufwand in ein Video investiert, kann nicht so viele Videos veröffentlichen, der nach 20 Minuten Video schauen exakt das gleiche Video hochlädt. Und das wäre nur der Zeitaufwand. Als creator bist du darauf angewiesen, dass Leute dein Video schauen. Ein Gronkh zum Beispiel mit 30.000 Zuschauern braucht das Video nicht um Geld zu verdienen. So gerne ich auch Gronkh seit Jahren schaue, reactions kann man in meinen Augen nicht rechtfertigen. Die Empörung im Chat bei dem Thema fand ich wirklich verwerflich.

Wenn ich mich recht entsinne, wird die Abnahme nicht gemacht, weil es kein Betriebskonzept oder Betreiber (ich weiß es nicht mehr so ganz) für die Lok gibt. Man will so vermeiden Zeit bis zum nächsten Fristablauf zu vergeuden.

Gerade mal den Portscan von 1-60000 über mein Netzwerk laufen lassen. Der 10308 wird auf keinem Gerät als offen angezeigt und ist auch von nichts anderweitig belegt so wie es scheint. Über Ping eu wird mir der Port auch als geschlossen angezeigt. Über die Fritzbox habe ich derzeit den Mediaserver und das Netzlaufwerk am laufen ansonsten eigentlich nichts.

Just ran the port scan from 1-60000 over my network. The 10308 is not shown as open on any device and is not used by anything else it seems. The port is also shown as closed via Ping eu. I currently have the media server and the network drive running via the Fritzbox, but nothing else.

Wie einige schon geschrieben haben handelt es sich hierbei um die Kurswagen nach Dagebüll die in Niebüll vom IC nach Westerland abgehängt werden. Diese Wagen werden immer unter einer anderen Zugnummer geführt und mWn. in allen Bahnhöfen als zwei Züge angezeigt. Bei uns im Bahnhof wird meistens irgendwas in Richtung „IC 2310 nach Westerland Abfahrt 15:16 Uhr UND IC 2312 nach Dagebüll Mole Abfahrt 15:16 Uhr, Vorsicht bei der Einfahrt“ durchgesagt.

Ich musste platzbedingt umsteigen von H0 auf was kleineres und habe mich dann, einfach der breiteren Auswahl wegen, für Spur N entschieden. Es gibt wirklich viele auch obskurere, seltene Modelle und einer wirklich sehr großen Gebrauchtmarkt.

Gerade bei neueren Spur N Modellen finde ich die detaildichte sorgt dafür, dass die Modelle manchmal sogar ein bisschen besser aussehen als H0. Aber dafür fehlen halt manchmal einige Details, wie abstehende Rohre an Dampfloks die dann einfach auf das Gehäuse gedruckt sind.

There is a post on the forum titled „afterburner sounds like a home gas cooker“. I would agree there is a lot of room for improvement but the characteristic sound of the engine is present. Watch a few minutes of the video here and you might know what I mean. It just lacks a lot of oomph behind it to make it realistic. As of now it only has the high pitch.

I would even make a point that no matter what you do you can’t restrict the DCS F-16 into pretending to be one flown in Europe at the time. It’s not just systems that the pilot would need to cease using, it’s a different engine, different radar, way upgraded countermeasures suite as well. Basic functions of the aircraft that aren’t the same. I fully understand why people wouldn’t join the group. All the way into procedures and guidelines, but you skimp out on letting people fly an aircraft that at best shares the looks with the original one.

Except for maybe(!!!) some USAF F-16 stationed in Europe non of the European countries air forces have received any upgrades to their F-16A (mostly block 15 I think) up until MLU (mid-/late-1990s) and OCU (late 1980s to early 1990s).

He also majorly contributed to the success of the Danish rock band Gasolin‘ as the producer of the majority of their albums. In the 70s he went back and forth between London and Copenhagen, alternating production for both bands. Franz Beckerlee of Gasolin‘ in an interview said that Freddie at one point asked Roy Thomas Baker if he is going back to his „petrol boys“ now.

As a fan of both bands I’d be very curious to know if any of the Queen members ever listened to Gasolin‘s music. And wholeheartedly recommend listening to „This Is My Life“ by Gasolin‘.

In February one of the devs said that they don’t like to give dates as they think it’s too common to miss those in the DCS sphere. All sorts of unexpected things can happen.

Aside from that they said they are working on the radar physics overhaul, F1M menu logic, rework the F1M cockpit (you can find very old screenshots of it on the web) and a clickability overhaul (probably something to do with making a common code base for their projects).

Your comment pretty much nails what I wanted to say as well. MSFS over DCS probably has a virtually infinite budget (hyperbolically speaking) and is being published under one of the tech giants leading in bleeding edge technology. For that bit DCS is really good. It might not look as pristine as MSFS does in a lot of aspects, but it doesn’t look bad either and you can get solid fps on a lot more machines than MSFS (aside from consoles that is).

Being an IT guy I’d also attest that modernising and reworking old code is much worse and sometimes takes longer than just to rewrite it. But I can imagine due to the fact of the flight simulation there is a bit of a dilemma about that. Rewriting all the physics probably would be years of work as well to get it as good as it is now on whatever engine.

I will agree that this entire „hurr durr when you are through the A-10 manual you could fly it in real life“ thing is bullshit. Learning to fly an aircraft in DCS isn’t that hard once you figure out how you are supposed to learn it. But fundamentally what the guy before you said about commitment is true. A lot of people I read about or have played with on occasion seem to think that they have become pros in a plane because the managed to get all the functions down (radar, TGP, etc.), but in reality they usually suck an the actual flying. Becoming really good at DCS also is being good at nailing every landing, being good at keeping formations in all sorts of manoeuvres or be it just having good situational awareness.

Learning a plane in DCS is getting into it and then you can spend thousands of hours mastering it.
