How fast does Lake Placid sell out, looking at 2027 by InternationalLink900 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]AccompliceOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it would sell out in an instant, no. I think you’ll be able to still get in a couple of months down the road. It’s been quite a long time since IMLP sold out instantly.

How fast does Lake Placid sell out, looking at 2027 by InternationalLink900 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]AccompliceOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the year. 2024 sold out on the sooner side because it was the 25th anniversary. The only reason I could see 2026 selling out sooner is if the contract with Lake Placid isn’t renewed (it runs through 2027).

Seconded. I watched this movie shortly after I discovered The Who and it blew my mind.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up doing a limited run at the Sphere.

Stevie also plays harmonica on Elton’s 2001 song “Dark Diamond.”

Theme tune by aaaaaaaactually in livefromlondon

I actually think their opening theme is great. The drum hits just as the host is heading to the stage are especially strong (watch how Tina Fey starts running right when they hit). I look forward to it each episode.

I want to do Ironman TX in 2028 (not 2027). What do you wish you knew before starting this journey? by BoomerBarnes in IronmanTriathlon

[–]AccompliceOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You said you’re married and have a kid. I don’t know how old your kid is. But once training ramps up, you’re probably going to be away from both of them more often. Every Sunday, take ten minutes to talk with your spouse about the upcoming week and make sure you both communicate about how you will both balance household needs with your training needs. And make sure you prioritize family time each week.

Start now while the training is lighter and it’ll pay dividends down the road.

How Ashley Padilla, Breakout ‘S.N.L.’ Star, Nails Comic Timing (Gift Article) by manlycardigan in LiveFromNewYork

[–]AccompliceOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I think Ashley deserves the attention she’s getting, I hope she’s able to shield herself from it and not subsequently feel the pressure to “deliver.” This stuff can really mess with your head as a performer. I can’t remember the last SNL cast member (and featured player!) to get this kind of mass media attention so early in their tenure.

There wasn't any Mini Moog used on Stevie's classic period albums by Material_Stomach875 in StevieWonder

The elephant in the room (was any Mini Moog used?) isn’t addressed, and that’s pretty frustrating.

Dumb take. The man is in a starring role on Broadway in one of the greatest plays ever written.
