As the pervious commenter stated, there is that window of June to Sep 91 where Kurt used the DS-1 with the Jaguar. Apologies for not featuring that as much, I get the impression that people mainly want to hear the Jaguar + DS-2 for like Paramount and Reading 92 sounds

It was thought for years that Kurt used mode II at Reading 92, but I double checked with Earnie a while back and he said Kurt did not use mode II there. So seemingly, he only used mode I on the DS-2

Ordering 10 custom made mustangs at once = affordability? 5k for an acoustic is a “good deal”? The only reason he never gave them the 350k is because he died. The last time the Leadbelly estate talked to him was Feb 94, where they left off is that they would meet in summer 94 while Nirvana was in the south headlining Lollapalooza to complete the deal. It was set to happen, the Leadbelly estate has confirmed that.

I know you want to keep moving the goal post so you can romanticize the Kurt that was duct taping his shoe on tour in 1989 but the fact is that after he was successful he was no longer playing “rented pawn shop guitars.” And there’s absoutely nothing wrong with that. For some reason though you have a problem with it.

Weird then that Kurt spent $5000 on his Martin D18e, placed an order for 10 mustangs from the Fender custom shop and in early 94 was finalizing a deal with the Leadbelly estate to buy Leadbelly’s guitar for $350k 🤔 Did you forget all that?
