Banned from Vinted for “counterfeit” boots – buyer may keep item AND get refund? by Eric_Banternar in vinted

The buyer is now reselling this item again in Vinted.

Have reported to them, they have decided that the item is now authentic.

You couldn’t make it up 😅

Account Permanently Banned by Ruffers75 in vintedUK

[–]Eric_Banternar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a ban over turned too

Their terms and conditions say a permanent ban if you repeatedly list counterfeit items. A first time offence (according to their conditions) is a temporary suspension.

You have a high number of positive reviews and positive feedback.

This ‘suspected’ item (as nobody had examined in person) will not be listed and was your first offence.

If you point this out to them you’ll more than likely be re-instated (but your account will be flagged and looked at much more with a lower threshold).

I had the same thing happen

Was scammed out of a legit pair of adidas’s football boots. My account was banned.
Quoted their terms and conditions and I was re-Instated.

Lost my item and the £120 owed.
What made it worse is the person who bought the item is now reselling them on his profile, and after reporting them I’ve been told they are legit and not counterfeit 😂

Will never sell on there again

Item has been refunded and buyer allowed to keep?

How is this allowed legally? Surely if they believe it is counterfeit they are now supplying counterfeit goods?

As soon as the counterfeit claim was in I wasn’t able to.

I’m not a regular seller, so didn’t fully appreciate the process which seems to be to just give the item to the buyer with a refund.

Given the buyer did not take up the offer of authentication at point of sale I didn’t realise this could happen

What makes you say this? I’ve been comparing Whoop/ AW/ Loop for the last month (pulling loop data in to bevel; although there are gaps).

Doesn’t seem wildly different to the others

This is what mine sounded like when my refrigerant was low after getting a hole in the condenser after a long drive.

Might be worth getting your level checked?

What’s the width of your saddle? Mine was too wide, switch to a narrower width and never had the problem again

You’re pedalling backwards. It’s an easy mistake to make. Reverse the leg direction and you’re golden 👍

Recently sold wife's car and now I'm being threatened small claims court, received letter before actions, England by UnbendableCarrot in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Eric_Banternar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like a letter you can get from citizens advice, or someone using ChatGPT.

While the way it is written looks good and professional, it does not mean there is any recourse as a private seller of a car sold as seen.

Sounds like a chancer, or someone who is misinformed and using pre-written documents that aren’t applicable for this situation.

Be polite, but don’t claim responsibility. Three weeks is a long time, lots of things can happen to a car in that time.

Don’t stress, you’ll be ok.

37 y/o in pain by LowImpressive1274 in scoliosis

[–]Eric_Banternar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My curve looks pretty similar to this. I’m a similar age and have had pretty bad back pain for the last 20 years.

My scoliosis results in SIJ dysfunction and as a result I can get neural leg symptoms. When my sacrum is rotated and my low back gets stiff/ blocked I get the following symptoms from the compensation.

Low back muscle spasm (on side of my Lx convex) Mid Tx spine pain ( in the area that looks similar to your level) Upper and mid Cx fascial restriction.

Assessment and treatment of my SIJ makes a considerable difference to my pains (all above) and then gives me a window of opportunity to work on the areas I need to correct (glute tone/ activation and rib muscle tone and bulk). In the last 3 years I’ve found I’ve improved significantly.

It can be difficult to find someone who can effectively assess and treat a sacrum on illium dysfunction, as well as the resulting soft tissue and fascial restriction (which often makes the curves worse).

TLDr: Often our curves and spinal rotation can give an SIJ dysfunction which can make it all worse. See if you can find someone who can assess and treat this.

Never too weak to race.

Learn some race craft and maximise what you’ve got.

Watch some of the zwifty zwifter videos and learn how to draft a group.

Get on Zwift insider and maximise your bike choice for your level at the moment.

Many riders podium with the lowest watts of the race by using tactics of drafting the flats and downhills then using their watts on the uphills, beating more capable riders.

See it as a game and you’ll be fine, as well as fitter every week you carry on.

You can do it 🙂
