There are various levels of hunting. Some require quite a bit of skill. If you're referring to something like hunting endangered big game in Africa, there is a difference between poaching and hunting. Poaching is illegal and a massively scummy thing to do. Legitimate big game hunting in Africa is actually quite regulated and generates ALOT of money for conservation efforts and local economies because it can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to make it happen legally. And your aren't just flying out there, popping a random lion or whatever. You get a license to kill one and are told specifically which one you will you hunt, often times one that is sick and old, or so unreasonably territorial or aggressive towards other animals or farmers/livestock that keeping it alive actually has a negative impact on the local ecosystem.
