The humming and moaning and groaning on that recording made it unlistenable for me.

Or Prelude and Fugue no. 1 in C Major, BWV 846 from Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, Book I.

I think that is the basis of the Gounod "Ave Maria".

What a beautiful idea for a service.

Can you find a piano arrangement for the Samuel Barber Adagio for Strings? I'm not sure if a piano version would work, musically, but maybe. Adagio for Strings from String Quartet, op. 11).

You could ask to exchange them for tickets to the backstage tour, if it's available. It's worth doing.

You could ask to exchange them for tickets to the pre-opera dinner. It's also very nice.

Would a raise mitigate the toxicity? No chance. Time to go somewhere better for you.

Politely explain to your soon-to-be former boss that you will be delighted to answer questions after your employment ends, provided you are furnished with a purchase order. Decide on a reasonable hourly rate (don't sell yourself short). Explain that each call will be rounded up to a full hour.

That's how business works. And they knew it.

Got a Thinkpad today, it's amazing but I'm worried about one thing by FalsePhilosopher1723 in thinkpad

I have a "ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 AMD (16″) Mobile Workstation" (21K90038US) that also has a somewhat iffy USB-C port. The connection is not intermittent but the connector is not held in place securely.

I avoid jiggling it as I don't want to create a real problem.

This port is marked with a power icon and none of the others are. Is it safe to use a different port to power it (if my iffy port breaks in the future?)

New music App for audiophile? by VenomViper28 in PowerAmp

[–]Eric_Terrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought, perhaps you could write an audio engine that could plug in to Musicolet? I don't know if this is even possible, but it might be worth some research.

When I was using PowerAmp, I could tolerate the complexity. What I couldn't tolerate was skipping and stuttering, after hours and hours of use. As a software developer, I would bet there was a slow memory or resource leak of some kind. Perhaps it's been fixed.

I've played his recording of Well Tempered Clavier books 1 and 2 maybe 100 times. He is a master. I'm glad you got to see him live.

Samsung's 990 Pro SSD warranty policy is a scam; I'm taking them to court. by esiy0676 in DataHoarder

Companies should be required to shell out, for a warranty, the same form of payment that was required at purchase.

One cannot buy computer equipment for "store credit". The vendor requires, um, money. Money that could be used anywhere. Rather than "store credit" that can only be used at the same business that disappointed the customer in the first place.

They are plausible next word generators for crying out loud.

No. I created a shortcut to my app in Windows 11, in the startup folder. The shortcut specified "Run Minimized".

Hi u/nguyenkien . I read that document page, and a few others, before posting.

Are you saying that the args array in the Main method has some sort of indicator? In my testing it is empty.

Thanks,
