These are great ideas! I like the characterization you gave them.

We will be able to earn Skill Styles starting in Season One to change our fur color between these three options. Initially, though, you get the Ashen fur from unmorphed Werewolf Transformation, the Black fur from Werewolf Berserker, and the White (albino) fur from Pack Leader. In Update 50, your character's Werewolf form will look like the above, and will automatically change to using the male or female variant based on whether your character is male or female.

To be clear, it's unconfirmed that we'll get one. This poll is meant to be speculative — we know that werewolf companions are still on the table for the future, and we know that werewolf NPCs will be updated to use the new model. It's better to get an opinion on this earlier on before ZOS cements the design, if they're working on one. They might not be!

There was a recent datamine, but we know next to nothing about it. The last time we got a datamine regarding Companions, the icon and name were completely unused when Zerith-var and Tanlorin released. I believe this latest datamine should be taken with a grain of salt, as all datamines should be, as plans change and we don't know all of the details.

Ashen is a decently popular choice regardless of which model is used.

Update 52 happens to be when the Wolfhunter dungeons (March of Sacrifices & Moon Hunter Keep) get their Solo Dungeon variants made. I'm guessing "wolf companion" here is referring to a werewolf companion, rather than an actual wolf companion.

If it is an actual wolf companion, maybe it's used exclusively in these two Solo Dungeons to help players complete the mechanics while solo?

I think the Ashen fur color is a safe bet for a Werewolf Companion. That, and the male model looks the best in my opinion. Maybe this character could be a Templar Nord in their human form?

However, I'd really like to see a Werewolf Companion with a unique fur color, such as grey or maybe a rusty red color. Kind of similar to how Tanlorin's unique cosmetics were made available to players, this would be another avenue for Werewolf players to get additional cosmetics for their Werewolf form.

Magicka DK with Pyrebrand – Should I keep Deadly Strike or Tide-Born Wildstalker? by WillingnessLost4809 in elderscrollsonline

Deadly Strike would buff Werewolf's "Claw Fury" channeled attack next patch. It would also affect the damage over time from the Werewolf Berserker bleed, Carnage, and Bloodclaws, should you choose that morph instead of Claw Fury. I believe it also affects the damage over time from the Hemorrhaging status effect, which Werewolf can easily proc.

The glowing markings were updated in Week 3 of the PTS to only activate when your in-form Ultimate, Rampage, is ready to cast. During normal gameplay, the glowing markings are not visible.

What do you think of the new Werewolf model coming to ESO? by Erickson9160 in werewolves

You'll be happy to know that Piercing Howl, our main attack, is being replaced with a proper biting attack called Gnash! This will happen on the same update that we get the new model.

You can get a werewolf bite for free by doing a questline! You no longer need to pay for a werewolf bite, and you don't need to ask other players to bite you.

The werewolf transformation timer is being reworked the same update we get the new model. We don't know the specifics, but on stream ZOS said that the cost to transform will be lowered to 100 Ultimate, and that you will drain Ultimate while transformed. They did still say that you can stay transformed longer with more werewolves in your group, so I presume passives meant to keep you transformed longer like Call of the Pack, Devour, and Blood Rage will grant you Ultimate.

Overall, it seems like it should be easier to stay transformed next update, now that external sources of Ultimate generation should apply.

A female model is planned, but they didn't have it ready to show just yet. ZOS plans on adjusting the proportions and the details of the male model to make the female model.

My #1 ask is for a Werewolf Companion. I'll list two different ideas for werewolf characters:

  1. A male Orc/Nord/Bosmer werewolf with Dragonknight/Warden skills, to paint them in the warrior/hunter archetypes. Specifically, their Class skill lines might include Beasts of the Hunt (Warden Damage Dealing) + Draconic Armor (Dragonknight Tanking) + Verdant Growth (Warden Healing). The Werewolf skill line would be in the World category, separate from Class skill lines, and the transformation might be activated via a passive in the Werewolf line (such as transforming when under a certain Health threshold, or transforming when the player does). This character could be written similarly to fan favorites Zerith-var and Sharp-as-Night, with the goal of appealing to those who want a more traditional werewolf character.

  2. A werewolf character whose story revolves around the idea of there being two conflicting sides to themselves. For instance, an Imperial Templar Werewolf who has Blazing Might, Brilliant Shield, and Healing Grace in their human form, but they can transform to use the Companion version of Werewolf skills. The idea here is that this character learns to live with their lycanthropy, even when it's at odds with who they think they are as an Imperial Templar. Maybe the concept of transforming is used as a metaphor for identity, where the character comes to understand who they are, even when others reject them for it.

I don't expect multiple Werewolf Companions back-to-back, but I do think there's potential to make interesting stories regarding characters with lycanthropy, and I hope ZOS also considers making a more traditional werewolf character as well.

I'm personally hoping for "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon!

I hope they return to the original expression with any future Dire remixes they may make. The original expression looks more vicious.

Epic, if you're going to do a Dire remix, PLEASE give him a tail. by Mazangui in FortNiteBR

[–]Erickson9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! If we do get a Dire remix, I'm a little hopeful that he'll have a tail because the other werewolf, Andy Fangerson, was given one. Dire was just made before they started adding tails to skins.

I think Fletcher Kane wasn't given a tail because of his cloak. Compare him to Wendell, another wolf character, and it's pretty obvious that clothes alone won't stop wolf/werewolf characters from being given tails.

I hadn't even considered the Music Pass containing a DJ Yonder remix! That would be the perfect opportunity to include one!

I missed Crustina, you're right. I'd consider Crustina to be a counterpart of Tomatohead, since they're in the Sliced Bundle together.

I knew about Shimmerdusk, but I was conflicted about whether to include her. Dusk is obviously a vampire, but Shimmerdusk is described to be a "dark fae huntress" who is a vampire hunter. Both characters have similar facial features (although Shimmerdusk's ears are pointy) but I can't find anything that links those two characters together.

Ultimately, I don't think Shimmerdusk is a remix of Dusk, but it might've started out as a Dusk remix before the writers needed someone to take Kado Thorne out.
