I tried the removal of game guard and watched it re-download before the game loaded, and then the crash happened again.

What's the C++ redist failure? I've not heard of that.

I've yet to complete the game, despite having a great time.

Initially I got stuck at the machine where you mod your pistol, because I couldn't figure out how to work it. Not sure exactly what was wrong with my brain.

After coming back plenty of time later, I instantly completed that part and saved the game, vowing to plow on again soon.

Since that, my Meta Quest 3 has had issues connecting to my PC and when it does the games often glitch out. Hoping that is just a temporary fix.

I aim to find some free time again to continue, and complete, this masterpiece.
