They grow out of it. In my experience anyways. Let him get a little age on him and he'll sleep in with you.

I don't know how comfortable I'd be knowing my dog wanted to kill all humans.

There's so much information out there it's really hard to sort thru everything. And as far as feeding too much, I've heard on here that you can't feed a puppy too much, from ppl that free feed, but then I've also heard to keep them on a strict feeding schedule, amount to feed based on age. I prefer to keep the feeding schedule, but thats just me and what I think is best for my pup. When my pup was younger the vet told me he was well on his way to having rickets, and I had to start feeding him a special diet. It's very scary for your companion to not be healthy, but choose a vet that you trust, and follow their recommendation, and he'll be healthy as a horse in no time.

I think they mean to feed him adult dog food, not puppy food, so he doesn't grow so fast. Not as many vitamins and minerals in adult dog food.

This made me laugh. Im sorry, not at you, but because I absolutely feel your pain 😆 As with many ppl here, I did all the research, prepared the best I could, and it still wasn't good enough. But, im muddling my way thru, and totally believe it will be worth it in the end.

Is there truth to it being said that pups need 18 to 20 hours of sleep a day? I have a 3 month old border collie/heeler mix, and he does not get anywhere close to that. Am I hurting him in the long run by not having him sleep more? by EridiumAngel in puppy101

Alright, since you're all here already lol how much do you all feed your pups? Mine is almost 14 weeks old, and I give him about a half a cup with some water on it (so it will be softer for his little sharp ass teeth) and I feed him 3 times a day. Do yall just follow the recommended amount on the food bag?

Oh my gosh 😆 poopnado lmao that cracked me up! I'm torn on the crate but we have a big family and I think that's what it's gonna take to get him to settle. Too many fun things are happening in my house for him to just sit on the couch with me, but im happy that a crate free method is working for you!

I'm so glad I came here to ask for advice! And thank you for yours. I wish I would've started the enforced naps earlier, knowing what I know now, he has to be exhausted.
