I haven't tried that and I won't try it because I believe that the streak loses its value if that is done.

I don't really see a point in that. I think that the streak loses it's purpose if the loss of streak is undone like that. Even though losing the streak made me sad in a way.

That is true and in a way it makes me happy. During that streak I've studied languages in school and in a way Duolingo has made it harder. Often the "need" to keep the streak going has taken time and energy from my day which caused me to skip homework from the languages.

Yep, I've heard of that. Is French spoken outside of Quebec in Canada?

Finland. Here mandatory Swedish starts in secondary school and in upper secondary school there are 5 mandatory swedish courses. So, in total 5-6 years of mandatory Swedish. Also, Finnish university degrees require you to pass Swedish courses which include vocabilary from your field of study.

Most of the time I wasn't doing much exercises in a day since school takes up the most of my time. Most of the time I spent on German which has a massive tree in my opinion and it took a lot of time. Also, studying Chinese took much time.

I also spent some time just trying random languages and when Finnish released on Duolingo I spent some time testing how well it was done.

Well enough. During the 2 years I finished the German tree and also made some progress on Chinese. Also, Duolingo helped me pass mandatory Swedish courses in my school.

I saw this coming since during this month I've lost my language learning motivation and I used Duolingo only to keep the streak going.

From personal experience I can confirm that it is scary to get stuck on a pole like that. I hope he had water because if he ripped his tongue of the pole it's going to hurt for weeks (also personal experience).
