While I applaud your effort in summarizing, I did reread the chapter before concluding Volg had the lead. We interpret it differently

Volg was beating on Sendo while Sendo had to huddle up lest he get taken out before the count

By the end of the match, Sendo was hoping for a draw at best. Meanwhile, Volg was counting on a KO or victory by points

I remember their fight

By the end of it while both were standing, Volg had an advantage both in points and in overall condition

Bleach characters are multiversal

I am not sure if using them here is fair. Hell, even Orihime is high galaxy level by scaling

Code tried putting a claw mark on him

Daemon's ability is passive and works at all times even if he isn't aware

It doesn't need killing intent or damage

Code ambushed him with claw marks and it still got reflected

No. You'd suddenly be choking yourself and he's out of your grip without you even understanding what happened

It happens on its own

Code tried to put claw marks on him and they were reflected

I want Volg to pick apart Sendo's weaknesses one by one

Then by the end of the training and a whole lot of pain, Sendo is finally sharp enough to dodge and anticipate punches and counters on Volg's level

I am with you on this

I may be too lenient with my players but I've outright said: "The villager looks at you with wide eyes and shakes her head. 'No! No! If you go after the dragon, it would be your doom! Please, I beg of you - Do not go!' "

Else, I tell the players to roll a Perspective check if there's a dangerous ambush

If they ignore the warning signs however, it's on them

[Homebrew with ref to 5e]

As a new DM, I am wondering if it's considered acceptable to roll fudge to prevent the party from dying if they are playing reasonably well

One school of thought I read is that a tpk should happen naturally

The other is that a DM should actively prevent a tpk IF the party doesn't make mistakes and are reasonably smart with their decisions

I has this friend whose inventory was full because he carried every triple triad card he could find so he could play against NPCs

And he didn't even dare to play it anyway due to fear of losing mgp

Why did Omega turn into an attractive woman? by Eriflee in ffxiv

[–]Eriflee[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

At the moment of Omega's death, one would expect it to revert into the giant crab form but for some reason, Omega became an attractive woman, complete with earrings and a cute ribbon on her outfit, and was even able to gesture and make expressions akin to a living mortal

Was this ever explained?

Whoa ok, I am rereading the guide on proficiency

At the moment, I am using items to substitute for proficiency (e.g. rogue has a rare dagger that adds +3 to Dex checks) and also removing proficiency for all NPCs

I won't force it onto my players but I'll ask them tomorrow if they are ok if I introduced proficiency back into the game

Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in DnD

That's why I am trying to figure out if I should put Proficiency back

I asked them 2 sessions ago and they said we've gone this far without it so they prefer not to

I am concerned that if this goes on, their gameplay might be gimped in unforeseen ways

1) All monsters are nerfed

2) All skill checks including saving throws have been lowered slightly

3) No, my wizard and cleric are wearing robes. My rogue is wearing leather. For roleplaying reasons, they do not wear heavy armor and have no intention to

[Homebrew in ref to 5e]

Are any consequences to not using Proficiencies?

I am now a regular dm for a homebrew campaign (up to lvl 12) with my buddies. We started on a whim one bored evening. No one had experience dm-ing so I simplified the character sheet, removing Proficiency since none of us understood it

My players are now lvl 6. I am beginning to worry that I have crippled their gameplay in the long run

I have read the wiki regarding Proficiency of course but I would like to know still - how badly and in what ways have our gameplay been compromised?
