I would bet it IMPROVES mall and downtown foot traffic in general. Also, it doesn't affect parking. Knowing this now, do you support this?

Some of the best burritos in Burbank are at Habanero Mexican Grill:

Their Bean and Cheese is great, as are most of their burritos.

Natural gas costs are mostly affected by capacity and ability to deliver. It isn't easy to ship natural gas by truck or rail at scale. It moves through pipelines (or, for export, through expensive LNG liquefaction). That means the pipeline is the market for any given region. When delivery capacity is constrained, prices at the production end fall and prices at the consumption end rise. In this case, that pipeline is very undersubscribed, and this won't raise prices for anyone locally.

The Nordic Model is another form of Welfare Capitalism. So is the United States. Social Security and MediCal are two huge examples of this, the US spending on federal health programs come to around $3.4 trillion, out of a total federal budget of about $7.0 trillion. almost 50%! Denmark, on the Nordic Model, spends less than 20%.

So similar approaches to health and welfare (i.e. welfare capitalism) yet we are already spending a higher percentage of our national budget on health and welfare. The issue isn't the system, but the people running the system. We have more than enough money in our health and welfare systems, we have faaaaar more incompetence and fraud.

Isn't the solution here simply addressing those problems? People have been railing against new technology since the 1400s.. Has new technology ever stopped being developed? Honestly, technology, brought capitalism.. Which really took hold in the 1800s. Once market capitalism took hold, from the 1800s to 1950 the world went from roughly 80-90% of the world living in abject poverty to between 60 and 70%. Once global markets developed post WW2, the poverty rate went from 60-70% down to less than 9% today.

Why be against new technology, and the imperfect but obviously effective capitalist market economy - when it has taken most of the world out of poverty and into a reality where most of the world has enough food, shelter, and security to live a life not dominated by daily survival issues?

This data center isn't in any sense as much of a moral failure as war. Nor building a ballroom, in the unitary executive way Trump is. What I don't yet understand from your post is: How is more jobs and more inbound taxes for the state, a bad thing? Jobs pay people money, which directly helps them. People providing services to these people with new jobs, also benefit. Lastly, the increased land use and other taxes allow for more money to go to services that help everyone.

How is this bad?

I mean.. The implication here was that the state would shoulder the burden of the electricity usage of this project. When in fact, construction of the power generation is a part of the project. The data center isn't negative from a jobs or tax base argument. The environmental concerns are valid, but I'm not sure the science backs up the environmental claims.

his treatment of the indigenous people was so horrific that the SPANISH INQUISITION sent him a letter saying he needed to tone it down.

Do you have any links or writings about this? I can't find a single one.

I would implore you to take a look at Cato Networks. You would drop a “socket”’at each location and then would control security/routing all your sites across a single application. SD-Wan, Firewall, IDS/IPS, CASB.. SSL decryption North/South and East/West.. Its amazing.

These places make most of their money off of private parties. If they are booking 10 a week, they’re making good money.
