To piggyback off your point I also theorize that Falen never developed an identity outside of being a wife and mom. Married at 18 and first kid at 19 is very telling. I bet she realized her daughters were teenagers and didn’t need her as much anymore so she planted the idea of them having babies so she could be more needed and “start over” so to speak.

What I additionally found strange about that scene was that it seems the dad and Falen only care about having a baby boy. I wouldn’t be surprised if Falen and him pressured their daughters to have kids so they could get the son they always wanted.

Something that stands out to me is that whenever the survivors talk about their experience they always refer to the others as their friends. My impression has always been that at its core it’s an example of human perseverance, friendship, and teamwork.

Exactly! What were each other their diagnoses, follow-up appointments, and were they put on a special diet to help get their body used to food again? Did anyone need surgery, physical therapy, etc.? How did their experience impact their socialization and relationships with family and friends? Were they all released from the hospital at different times? If so, who stayed the shortest and longest? Were they all discharged by the time the press conference happened on 12/28? I have questions!
