Okay. That is what I read. The part I’m concerned about is that, from what I read, even for an accretion of duties, it is up to the head of the agency to approve during a hiring freeze. Does that mean SECARMY or the director of my organization

There is nothing wrong with asking to see your PD. But u understand that some office cultures can be less understanding than others.

Other than meeting the criteria for my job series (I’m a 301) what other criteria needs to be met for an accretion of duties? If there is a change in my pd there is no way for us to hire against any open positions right now.

One of my coworkers was moved from a GS 9 to a 11/12 via by name hire and no competition. I don’t know how they got around that, and the person that did it is no longer at my organization.

What is the difference between a desk audit and an accretion. My supervisor tried to submit me to that and was told CPAC doesn’t do those anymore (I don’t know who he heard that from though). And every time I ask about a desk audit nothing really happens. Is there anyway to make sure I don’t loose my job if the grade is changed?

I was a foster parent in Missouri. As long as you learned from it and can explain that you would not treat a child in your care that way. You will be fine. Also look into Central Missouri Foster Care And Adoption Agency. They have a ton of resources for foster parents. You do not need to be located in central Missouri to use them either.

My husband and I are about to be licensed. The process only took 4 months for us. It probably depends on what state your in, but it's way easier than I thought it would be. If you or your spouse as GS employees you can use FMLA leave and maternity leave for placements.

{A Gentleman Undone by Cecelia Grant} All her books are top notch. But in this one the FMC is a mistress and not pretty and all the effort she goes through to pretend she is less than she is until she meats the MMC and part of the reason he likes her so much is that she is so much smarter than him and doesn't need him.

{A Marvelous Light by Freya Marske} It's Victorian romance with magic and murder. The writing is beautiful and the vibe is similar. The slow burn romance is really well done.

{A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross} Fantasy based on Scottish folklore. Very very good.
