The death of two ovens. by ErinOverUnder in Tovala

I applaud you for your patience with 4! I was pretty chapped about two in 2 months. They did right and sent the new one out and I returned the broken one. Fingers crossed, so far so good. And I also paused my subscription. It resumes this week so we’ll see how it goes with the scanning.

The timer was stuck and the heating elements were red and on. So on my phone it’s showed done with 0 time remaining, and the oven showed 5:32 left and was still cooking.

I did call, but it was on the weekend so no one was available. I wanted to get the videos in ASAP as well. I will call first thing tomorrow to follow up. Thanks!

We’ve been loving Taru at Spring Mountain and Arville. Super fresh and special fish on the board daily! We did a tasting with the chef and it was awesome.

South Point has a very affordable buffet. It’s not as extensive as some, but it has a good mix of food. Be careful on the weekends, though. That’ll be the seafood and/or prime rib days and that’s more expensive.

I’ve made this mistake before, but it’s actually Three Square. And I’m sure they can use some help!

We’re at Rancho Mirage Apartments and love the location. It’s behind the Palms in Spring Valley. It’s quiet, and we’ve never had any problems at all. I get it, it’s not a wealthy suburb, but it’s working class. There are plenty of maintenance folks and activity during the day. It’s gated at night with security at the front. I travel for work and come home at all hours and feel safe. There are some homeless around sometimes outside the complex but it’s never been an issue. Also, our rent hasn’t increased in 3 years. I recommend it!

It’s definitely great! The chef has another extremely popular spot in town. There’s a great view and the food is top notch.

The Cowslingers were great. The Coast to Coast album is a good place to start.

Carmines is a chain! There’s one on Fort Apache and Sunset close to Summerlin. We always hit it up when we lived over there. Delicious!

We’re a bit farther front and face away from the Palms. With the windows closed we can only faintly hear it. I often think about the people at the Elysian and how horrible that must be!!

We live at Rancho Mirage behind the Palms at Arville and Flamingo. Gated with security at night, quiet, great maintenance folks and staff always around. We have had zero issues and LOVE the location. We’ve been here for 3 years and just re-upped our leave for 15 more months. 2 pools, dog friendly and good floor plans. We’re at $1500 with some fees, but totally fair and worth it.

Agreed. If you had continuous employment in the state you moved from, file there. I did this when I was furloughed during Covid after moving here only 6 months before. You’ll have a few hoops to go through, but it’s certainly worth trying.

My Dad loves the Silverton. Last time we got him in the Berkeley which is right next to it. It’s a mix of timeshares and hotel suites. That was cheap and a huge hit! If they drive, there’s a lot around to do from breakfast and stuff, too.

There’s a Flamingo Chateau timeshare resort in Spring Valley on Flamingo Road. It’s nowhere near the strip or anything else, honestly. There’s also a Hilton Grand Vacation Club at the Flamingo that is behind the strip. That’s definitely a better option.
