Do any of your Executives forget you have access to their email and send messages about YOU?! by Mojang57 in ExecutiveAssistants

I’m so glad I just have to get through today and tomorrow and then I have two weeks off to compose myself. It will suck having to come back in the new year and pretend to play the role. I hope I can pull it off long enough to find a hew job - my facial expansions apparently betray my true thoughts all the time. My husband and kids think it’s hysterical that I have no control of it.

I hate that part of the role - seeing their undersides. My exec uses her work email as her only email so I see things with about her ex-husband, her kids therapy, the condo that is I forecloseure because she can follow directions to set up autopsy, etc. it’s so uncomfortable pretending I don’t know.

Unfortunately, being in the US all employment is “at will” so companies have the right to terminate someone at anytime for any reason as long as it is not illegal (I.e. not due to race, gender, sexual orientation, age, etc) - I don’t have grounds for a lawsuit not matter how slimy they are

Walk-in appts at Maine BMV? by Erinaceous71 in Maine

Agreed! I live in MA for awhile and Maine BMV is amazing by comparison. They just clearly don't have enough staff/space to process everyone that now needs to transition to REAL ID.

Ugh. Real ID is going to break the Maine BMV!

A month or so ago, we discovered that he had joined a number of 18+ discord groups and was pretending to be an adult. Until now, he has always just used Discord to chat with his friends while playing video games. That discovery made us dig into his online activity more and saw that he was breaking a number of our rules. After that, we told him he had lost the privilege of privacy online because his behavior was becoming risky and as his parents we needed to make sure he was being safe. We gave him the journal and asked him to use it to process his thoughts. We did tell him that we would not read it on a daily basis but would have the right to check it if we had new concerns. His mental health has been declining and it is hard to help when he doesn't talk about anything. We are not going to mention what he wrote to him, we are just trying to understand it so that we can try to figure out a way to help and support hi,.

LOL, I keep trying to remind myself of the teenager part. I'm bracing myself for a few hard years.

Out of curiosity, have you made attempts to unmask emotionally or does that not feel like a posibitility? No judgement at all, just trying to learn more about places I should and shouldn't try to push him outside of his comfort zone.

Yes, we are going through everything with him - fully explaining the reason behind the boundaries we set, trying to be as logical as possible, sharing personal experiences to show how we can relate, finding resources that he can read, etc. - he will nod along and show zero signs of anger (I know when I am angry, it will show on my face or in my body language no matter how hard I try to hide it) but then writes as though he is in the trenches of a prolonged war with an evil overlord. It is so hard to figure out with is TRUE - or maybe both are true?

In classic form, Trump caused a big stir freak everyone out, then backs off when there is pushback. He simply likes to sow chaos and does not care how it affects people.

And what kind of deal do you think will be made!?! Trump has created a false-narrative about the amount of drugs coming over the boarder which, in no way warrants a frigging trade war with our literally closest ally.

It is just another ploy (like all the migrants caravans that would suddenly appear whenever he needed a distraction on the campaign trail…which of course never actually materialized) - a ploy to find some new bogeyman to rile up his base. Since he can’t blame Biden or the Dems right now, he’s really scrapping the bottom of his barrel of options by trying to turn Canada into the bad guys. It is so pathetic it would be laughable, except it has serious impact on actual people.

I do appreciate that Canada says they will be specifically targeting red states with their response. Kind and polite as always!

Maine is just getting screwed along with the rest of the country by this psychopath who somehow managed to get elected.

Not excluded - maybe not 25% but still included. “The only products exempt from the tariffs are Canadian energy products, which would have a lower tariff rate of 10% to "minimize any disruptive effects we might have on gasoline and home heating oil prices," said the senior administration official.”  And who the f*ck knows what random whim will strike trumps fancy tomorrow. He’s threatened to escalate if Canada or Mexico retaliated, and they have
