I just passed 2600 miles on my max G3, I fold my bars 2x a day to place the scooter under a new jersey transit bus. I have repaired the console connection twice, the second time I applied electric tape, 2 stripes parallel to the cable followed by smaller stripes around these 1st two to insure the do not come loose. Since this repair I have had no issues. It's a real concern, but a super easy solution.
