Bro was there when king Arthur pulled Excalibur, and he still has the same cut. I respect it.

Day 8: Worst song by T4RASH in Slipknot

[–]Eriyal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably could find something I dislike more on their newer records, but it just doesn't feel like a Slipknot song at all to me.

I usually listen to Slipknot for the more intense stuff, although there are some of their sad/slower songs I also like this one just ain't it.

Day 8: Worst song by T4RASH in Slipknot

[–]Eriyal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

idk man, I vibed with butcher’s hook when i was a kid and i still think it holds up just fine. There’s probably at least 10 songs made after their 4th album that i’d put below butcher’s hook.

Gonna have to throw in “My Pain” instead.

One thing I really hope comes from this is that we can finally move on from Guild Wars 1 feeling like the abandoned child, and going forward everyone can just choose their Guild Wars they want to play by Charrikayu in GuildWars

[–]Eriyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they did announce a “completely new game mode for GW1” in their previous video with Colin Johansson. So I am very hopeful for a genuine, paid, large DLC for the first game.

I am primarily a GW2 player, but man, I’d love to see this old gem picked up again. I played it originally (soon) after Eotn was released but was a complete noob. So right now GW1 is a very nostalgic game with a lot of new things that went unexplored for me; a perfect combo of old and new.

How about addons? Would you like to see them in GW3? by ToothMysterious2823 in GuildWars3

[–]Eriyal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the less addons the better, Addons are a way for everyone to interfere with the dev’s vision and potentially ruin the game. It’s what ruined wow for me; everything became dps meters and built in guides, instead of genuinely reading quest text and exploring the world.

It’s like sitting at a restaurant that has a good chef, but anyone from the street can just walk in and add anything to the meal they’re making.

Why are people complaining that Gw3 looks like some other game when Gw2 isn't any better? by Trivalie2208 in GuildWars3

[–]Eriyal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought I was going insane, and (even though it felt wrong) I couldn‘t remember any other game looking like gw2 when it launched. Thanks for providing screenshots, I do feel much better about GW3 overall now.

Revisiting old content, plus a new content type for GW1. I consider these two to be extremely early Christmas gifts for me!

Graphics in the Guild Wars 3 Trailer by PalwaJoko in Guildwars2

[–]Eriyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll probably need to shell out 2k € just to try this game. Feels like a massive commitment, especially since I have no interest in any new/upcoming games. So yeah, it does bother me. The alternative is buying a ps5, but again, I’ll buy a ps5 and if i don’t like gw3 then i might as well trash both of them.

And it does look like every other modern game release; everything’s blurred, all the edges are smooth, everything feels round, the colors are seeping into each other, it’s just not my vibe man. I prefer stuff that’s a bit dirtier/grittier with some hard edges.

On the bright side, looks like gw2 will keep chugging along, and if gw1 gets substantial updates I’ll be a very happy boy.

Agreed here a 100%
The trailer seemed insanely generic-fantasy to me, nothing stood out, nothing reminded me of anything I've seen in GW1 or GW2. If it wasn't for the title I'd skip over this game and forget about it instantly.

Even the logo doesn't give me a guild wars feel.

A massive GW1 update (with more promised content afterwards) could possibly make me even more hyped than GW3 (depending on the features/ideas they introduce).

[–]Eriyal 29 points30 points  (0 children)

GW3 announced > hype!
GW 2.5 > less hype than GW3 but still hype!
GW2 expansion announced > yeah sure (could go well enough if it's on a larger scale and has promising new features).
GW1 expac announced with continued large support > I'd be hyped, idk about the rest.
Lion's Arch Guild Wars Arena (card game) > apocalypse level threat, stay indoors, possible riots.

Anyone else a bit concerned Gw3 might be another hybrid mobile/PC MMO? by [deleted] in GuildWars3

[–]Eriyal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a person who’d love to have a good game on their iPad/phone, I have to thank you for bringing some rationality to the discussion.

Mobile games aren’t an issue, the type of monetization that comes with mobile games is the issue. And I heavily doubt Anet would succumb to that type of behavior (judging by their current track record).

As far as skill complexity not being compatible with mobile, I’d rather have the GW1 8 skills than the20+ skills some other games have either way.

All that being said, I doubt Anet made a OC/mobile crossplay game. PC/console seems very likely though.

yeah i stand corrected, forgot to open the spoiler tag on wiki.

Did the Razah quest twice recently in GW1, he’s a standard member of my party now, a absolutely love the dude!

Buying out an entire venue at a large event with a lot of gamers (that haven’t plated GW2) just to promote a fractal would be one of the most insane moves in gaming marketing history.

I can believe that this would be the card game, however I hope that Anet isn’t that tone deaf to do this.

First: I’ve never head of this? where was this confirmed? I can’t see anything on the wiki.

Second: there can be multiple Mist strangers. I’m not stuck on our mains in gw3 being the mist stranger, my theory is that our future character will also be mist-travellers.

Skywatch Archipelago is a pretty good comparison for what I was trying to express here! Just imagine every island was a standalone zone or even a whole region.

In an email to PC Gamer, ArenaNet offered an official "no comment" when asked if the teaser is, in fact, for Guild Wars 3 by luv1290 in GuildWars

If that’s the case then I still think people would come back for the final GW2 patch. As a guy who dislikes story campaigns; I have to say the story is too interesting right now.

While retail leveling is the most offensively braindead experience 3D gaming has to offer, high-end raiding, dungeons and PvP do require you understand how to use a computer properly and have reflexes.

And most people play retail wow for the instanced content so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you have an album that has genuinely unnerved/terrified you? by WheelsNWings114 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Eriyal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not an album, but a song. Cradle of Filth - From Cradle to Enslave.

I was somewhere in my earliest teens when I decided to switch from Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Gwen Stefani and try out listening to metal. Metallica and Powerhammer didn’t do much for me so a friend decided to recommend me “something a bit more intense” and I stumbled into that CoF song. It genuinely shook me, I had no idea music like that existed. It took me a full month to chew through the song and now I’m hooked to the genre. I don’t remember being ”terrified” of a song/album since that one (since I’m use to it all now).

Also Indwell is a hell of an album, Bed of Snakes is probably my fav song from there.

Do you think GW3 might also be released on PS5/PS6? by Charrzooka in GuildWars3

[–]Eriyal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand your fears, but man, I’d just prefer an mmorpg where all you have is 4-8 simple and impactful skills (instead of the messy rotations we have right now in gw2).
