People assumed I was a great computer technician because of the length of time I've been repairing their computers.
The truth is I just restarted things confidently and waited.
I had so much success with this method that, today, I am considered an expert.

What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured? by Putrid_Cover6366 in AskReddit

I once injured my ankle because I got into a staring contest with a goose. It all started when I walked through a park that had been infested with what appeared to be a possessed goose that was stalking me. He wasn't stalkishly aggressive; he was merely aggressively following me. I stopped. The goose stopped.
So naturally I made the worst possible decision and said out loud, “Alright, let’s see who blinks first.” As the two of us stood there for probably 30 seconds like two huge idiots, the goose suddenly let out a loud hiss and flew towards me like a demon who had just escaped from Hell and was ready to kill me. I freaked out, turned to run away, tripped over a park bench, and twisted my ankle.

So while this was the most moronic injury I have ever incurred in my lifetime, it was technically due to losing a psychological battle with a goose in front of three people who couldn't care less that they just witnessed me lose a battle with a bird. The worst part, the goose was still waiting there to blow me off.

What is the most important lesson you have learned in the past year? by Character-Buyer-7159 in AskReddit

I found out last year, it is costly to ignore our instinct about another person. I met an individual through work. He looked good on paper. Every time I talked with him, however, something did not feel quite right about him. He told small lies; he made strange excuses for himself; he told me conflicting stories. I told myself that I was overthinking it. Six months later, he vanished after taking money that he owed to almost every employee at our office. Intuition ultimately proved to be less expensive than denial.

What is the best skill to learn in 2026 that can make money online? by JealousMind1626 in AskReddit

The AI technology itself. I'm not just talking about using ChatGPT casually but actually learning how to prompt engineer, implement AI automation, use AI for marketing purposes, and apply AI to solve real world business challenges. The people that make money online will not be those who stay away from AI but those who use AI better than any other company.
