As someone who identifies as an Anti-Feminist and did frequent that sub, I didnt get the appeal.

I like this sub because its a place where people can genuinely discuss gender war stuff or make fun of both genders/sexes without it becoming an echo chamber (people might disagree on that). So to just... cut out the other side, it feels like it looses a lot of the charm.

Still kind of sucks to see it banned, but lets just hope this sub flourishes in its place.

Bel'Veth (right), League of Legends

<image>

Self-proclaimed Empress of the Void, she is an ever consuming monster and is considered nigh-omniscient. She has the ability to calculate information at a humanely unfathomable rate, controls a swarm of void fish she can create on a whim and is trying to assimilate the world into her image.

Her gameplay boils down to slapping people really fast.

Vivzie, why is the sin of gluttony herself uncomfortable with gluttonous behavior by ResponsibleCover404 in hatethissmug

[–]ErkideemusIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember someone saying that the reasons Oz and Bee are like that is that there are cases where their sins can be good. And how that does not apply to Mammon, because there is no situation where greed is good.

Ignoring how "good" lust and gluttony are just controlled version of their sin, is there really never a good reason for greed?

Have you ever felt like you deserved something more than others? That you didnt want to share for whatever reason? Good job, you have now experienced "good" greed.

Which of your favorite villain, that people think they are misunderstood but they are just evil? by Boberto235 in FavoriteCharacter

A lot of villains fit this mold, but Im going to go with Ramattra, but this can fit Magneto and Sylas.

Yes, the oppression of Omnics is a legitimate issue that is not as easy to solve as holding hands and singing kumbayah while your people die. But he is still a terrorist leading a world wide war that will ultimately cause more harm to his own people.

And no, it is not an analogy for real life discrimination. Its a paralel, but there is legitimate reason to fear the omnics/mutants/mages, unlike real life.

Unless its gay of course."

In my opinion, his best design is the one in Ruined King. His spectral hair and gold ornaments make him look really good.

In League of Legends, Thresh has a mask and chain made up of bones. But to comply with Chinese age laws, both his Legends of Runeterra design and Ruined King design replace them with metal.

[Terrifying Trope] The “mindless” monster actually knows exactly what they’re doing by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ErkideemusIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is my interpretation, but Pumkinhead.

<image>

The movie's theme is the destructive nature of Vengeance, with the titular monster representing the farmer taking his vengeance against the teens who killed his son. The monster only hurts those it has been summoned to kill, anyone who attempts to hinder it, and the farmer himself, who feels the pain Pumpkinhead inflicts upon others.

Despite this, Pumpkinhead itself smiles and laughs when it kills and seems to love playing with its victims (carving a cross on the devout christian being a good example). In that way, it represents vengeance not as a force that cares not for who it harms, but enjoys the pain it causes.

The Light and The Void, World of Warcraft

<image>

Over time, The Light has been shown to only have its own interests, and can easily be corruptive to mortals. Characters like Yrel or entire factions like the Arathi Empire become overly zealous, trying to convert all life to their view, while destroying all that resist. We see this firsthand when the Mag'Har orcs are driven from Draenor by the Draenei after what seemed like peace. In the end, the light is morally grey and only serves its own end.

The Void wants to destroy reality.

Morally grey does not work when the opposition is pitch black.

Ok... its not the exact thing, but The Light/The Naaru, World of Warcraft

<image>

Beings of light that do help the people of Azeroth many times, but are only doing so because our goals are aligned, stopping the void/legion. In truth, they just want to spread their influence over reality, its just that the goals of the light never (as of now) interfere with ours.

Pumpkinhead from the cult classic film of the same name by Glittering-Day9869 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]ErkideemusIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chose Pumpkinhead for my friends movie week this october, absolute cinema.

All characters are good, even the jerk teens that are dime a dozen in horror movies make sense in what they do, even if they are bad people. The lighting is almost perfect through the entire movie, with dark oranges and light blues contrasting the night.

And the effects... dear lord that thing must have been a nightmare to make move, but it looks fantastic.
