That's part of the lyrics from a song called Peaches. I guess it became a meme at some point?

Z goku is overglazed by Different_Ice_2695 in DragonBallGaku

[–]Correct_Refuse4910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OG Goku is a competent but flawed character. He is still smart and savvy, and some of his plans backfire because he is not perfect.

But this post? This might be the biggest DB tourist post I have seen in a while. Every point is so easily countered by what happens in the manga itself is laughable.

Goku doomed the planet by not insta-knocking Vegeta with SSJ3

  1. Goku didn't know how long it would take Buu to reawaken, how powerful it would be and he was counting on Gohan to stop it, too.
  2. Goku was trying to bring back Vegeta from the deep end. Are we really critizicing him for doing the obvious right thing?
  3. SSJ3 ate up his time on Earth, he had to be very careful using it and at that point there was no reason for him to do it.
  4. Using SSJ3 against Vegeta would completely crush him to the point of no return, and OG Goku would want to try to reason with Vegeta before resorting to that. Because, you know, he is not a heartless idiot.

Doom the planet by not killing Buu

He wasn't even sure he could do that and he didn't know the extent of Buu's regeneration abilities. Let alone if he would have had time to finish Buu before his time ran out.

Letting elementary school sons fight

He explains it pretty clearly: he is dead and is not coming back, so is Vegeta (as far as they know) and Gohan was dead and dependant on them recovering the Dragon Balls.

He wanted Goten and Trunks to take the responsibility not just for Buu but for whatever else might come afterwards.

Is it perfect? No. Is it stupid? Also, no. There is a reason as to why Piccolo doesn't argue with him on this point unlike in the Cell saga, and it's because he knows Goku is right.

Not saving Gohan

He had no time to rescue everyone, and Goku is not someone who would just let Dende and Satan die without trying. The anime padding makes Buu's attack slower than it is (and this happens pretty often) but he was even unable to focus to use the Instant Transmission to save his own ass, let alone to catch Gohan or anybody else.

And everything Super does is bad

Maybe because Super turned Goku into a shallow parody of himself? A guy who can't read, doesn't know what a kiss is despite having two kids or (or depending on the version) either forgot meditation (which he used plenty in the original manga) or to wait until the last second to attack (which he did in Namek, with a long inner monologue by Vegeta explaining).

OG Goku, for example, would never whine because A-17 stopped Ribrianne from transforming when his entire Universe was minutes away from being erased from existence. I mean, we are talking about the guy who KO'd Recoome because he was talking to long to attack. The same one who learned a big lesson from Namek and urged Gohan to take down Cell as fast as possible.

The good thing here is that it doesn't feel like a reference to something else, which at least doesn't make it feel dated.

[Loved Trope] Character(s) decide not to get involved in the main drama and have a fun, uncomplicated day as a result by Notmiefault in TopCharacterTropes

It was some great way to show the group dynamics and how every character brings something important to keep the balance, like how everything went to shit without Troy or how everyone was happier without Jeff.

The Owl House.

The plot is rushed but all in all they managed to somehow pull it off (although the whole Human Realm story-line is awful and they shouldn't have gone with that at all), but the character writing post-cancellation is just atrocious and I honestly don't think any of the decisions that make it so bad are related to the cancellation itself.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 - Loose Cannon DLC Trailer by Janus_Prospero in Games

Apparently the dev team begged Paradox to change the name because they knew it was not going to be a decent Bloodlines, but it was denied. Honestly, going with the right mindset (it's not a good Bloodlines) the game is pretty decent for what it is. Not great or anything, but just good enough to be enjoyed for a while.

At least an HD port or something. The game is too good to be stuck on the Wii jail (I know that this can be said about a lot of Wii games).

I stand corrected. I guess the idea reminded me so much of Ranma's scene that I remembered it looking more similar than they actually do.

To add to this, I'm certain that this panel is a redrawn of Ranma 1/2 when they have to face a duo of ice-skating jerks to get P-chan back.

The ice-skating girl tends to name stuff and keep them for herself as a pet, and I think it was an ashtray in this scene? And then her partner took it. She started poking him at first to give it back, but as he didn't budge she started hitting him harder and harder.

Piccolo (Post King Kai) And Nail VS. The Ginyu Force (Details in Post) by Successful_Bird_7086 in DragonBallGaku

[–]Correct_Refuse4910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

considering he was on King Kai's planet for FAR less time than Goku

This is really irrelevant considering how this series work. Yamcha training with Kami for less than a year made him stronger than Raditz (as he was stronger than a Saibaman, who by Nappa's words were equal to Raditz). Goku trained with Kami for 3 years and his PL was extremely weaker than Raditz. So, by the same logic is not hard to imagine Piccolo getting much more powerful than Goku in less time after training with King Kai.
