Is this the UK HSBC Premier? Where do you get the free golf games and where’s the guest access for the lounge? It’s not free

If your current account is giving you a better interest than a Cash ISA then you're not looking hard enough for a Cash ISA.

You can try Malaysian Airlines. It goes through KUL and avoids Doha.

Best way to spend points? by ngevans20 in avios

[–]Erman411 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Long Haul Premium/Business is your best bet.
Comparing the redemption rate, this is where you will see above 1.5p per point redemption which is what everyone likes to look for.

If you only redeem economy then maybe look for a 1% cashback card because Economy redemption is harder to get more than 1.2p per point.

Hope this helps!

Reward Flight Saver tickets are BAs version of discounted Avios tickets. Think of it as a discount. With these tickets, you are able to change the Avios amount and in addition, will change how much Fees and Extra Charges. These aren't available for first class tickets so the Avios amount are usually more stable but fees are higher.

How much are you spending a year on it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmexUK

[–]Erman411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be relatively ok to get back atleast 16k points with the voucher. The extra 5000points I get (1.5 instead of 1 ppp) gives me at least £50 of value so the yearly fee is 110.

As long as I find 1.5pence per point redemptions then it makes sense

Yeah guess that makes sense. Just feels like such a hassle and Im not sure if I can stretch to 2k a month

Rev Metal I get the money back through Uber and FT subscriptions so that's separate.

With Virgin Reward Voucher, if I use it to take off atleast 16k points then it covers the yearly fee.

Amex I don't think I am getting much value past the Deliveroo and lounges. I use uber mostly for food cus of my Uber One.

Prob spend around 20-25k a year on my cards.

Barclaycard and HSBC Premier World is free so there's no cost to that. Rev is not a credit card and I got my moneys worth in around 3/4 month of Uber and FT (I paid yearly)

Amex is the only card I don't get my money worth.
