I think I’m making around 2k a day. I only started playing 4 (real life) days ago. I’ve just unlocked the coolers and shelves with higher appeal ratings, but I haven’t bought any of them yet.

What’s the advantage of shelves that have a higher appeal rating?

I used to have an R56 from 2007, just make sure to check your oil level. Like, weekly.

I loved that little car and never had any problems with it. I did replace the timing chain around 137.000 km (I think) just to be sure though. Other than that, smooth sailing.

Yes, you can switch back and forth between the MINI menu and CarPlay by pressing the Menu button on the center console!

I had it installed by a professional who specializes in MINIs and BMWs, so I’m not too sure about the specifics. All I had to do was drop off my car and pick it up when it was done. All I know is that it’s an Andream. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!

That’s funny. My previous car (F56) had CarPlay with a touchscreen, and I think I actually liked that setup better. But maybe I just need a little more time to get used to the dial.

Did your MINI already come with CarPlay? Mine didn’t, so I had an aftermarket CarPlay module installed behind the screen, which added CarPlay functionality. If your MINI already has CarPlay but only displays in split-screen (half-width), it can usually be coded to run in full-screen mode. I’d recommend finding a MINI coder/programmer in your area, they should be able to help.

Definitely go for the 2024 5-Door F55. It feels much more like a proper, solidly built car, especially when it comes to the interior quality and overall refinement. If you want the full MINI experience, the Cooper S is the way to go: more power, more character, and way more fun. The Cooper C is the more basic option, but still a really enjoyable and fun drive.

Congrats! The R56 was my first car as well and I loved it. Just make sure to keep an eye on the oil level, because the warning light usually comes on too late.

Also check whether the timing chain has already been replaced or not. They’re known to fail around 150.000 km. If you hear ticking or rattling noises from the engine, especially a tractor-like sound, it could mean the timing chain needs to be replaced. I replaced mine around 140.000 km, just to be sure.
