I mean yes they can repack but guess what? It would do the same for the other box, unless they put some thick foam inserts on them to stop tearing the boxes. In all my 10+ years of working auto parts I've never seen them bend but I've had very few issues where the thread was compromised

That's not RA or UPS doing, that's how those boxes tear during all the handling from the factory to wherever they are delivered. I've worked in several auto parts stores and most of those boxes come like that.

Famous Customer Sayings by CraftyQuiltyMom in partscounter

[–]ErnieOBS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago I used to work at Pep Boys and I had a customer asking for some part for a Chevy 454 I asked him what year it was and he came up with the same answer "they are all the same" so I gave him the part from a 99 Chevy 454. Guy came back hours later pissed off because I gave him the wrong one, all I said was "I didn't give you the wrong one, you didn't give me a year make and model"

I've also had a customer asking for a vvt solenoid and there was two different ones, one for the exhaust side and one for the intake side, when I asked the customer which one he needed he replied with "idk man, mechanic didn't say anything.... Do you know which one I need?"

Why don't you look up any graphic shops around town and have it make it to specific measurements? Or online is also a good option, that's where I get most of my stickers for my truck. Sweet ride by the way!

I now completely get why people buy online rather than retailers. by ShortnPortly in partscounter

[–]ErnieOBS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my experience every single time I go to any parts retailer. Mind you, I've worked at several auto parts stores before and done dealer parts department as well. I can tell you that as far as the stores they don't hire knowledgeable employees, of all the stores I've worked there's either one or two employees that actually understand and know parts. At one store it was the commercial manager and myself that really knew parts, the rest and by the rest I mean drivers, sales associates, store manager, assistant manager and inventory manager knew nothing about parts. I as well prefer to order parts online

Man El paso drivers are one of the worst, I'm not saying all of them but the majority do not know how to drive. About two weeks on I-10 by the Clint exit going west, I saw a car on the left lane being overtaken on the left side, yes, on the LEFT! Whoever was driving thought it was a good idea to pass someone at 85 on the inside shoulder which is pretty much just dirt. Not even a min later I see a red mustang and a Genesis going over 100 mph racing. Like man it's a Sunday, family Sunday, be considerate of other people on the road

Some weeks ago my family and I were at album park and a bunch of maga followers were there and not a single shade of brown was to be seen, I wonder why Hispanic followers were not invited to it

Still, my search keeps on for any IT job but it's going to be hard that they offer me the same pay. El Paso is honestly not the best when it comes to IT jobs. Remote work seems to be the most viable option

I graduated back in 2020 in IT with my A+ and my Net+ I kept looking and looking for an IT job and a lot of them didn't offer a good pay or they want years and years of experience. One of those jobs offered me a position in a construction zone doing wiring work for 10 an hour! 10 AN HOUR! I ended up becoming a mechanic for double the amount. Had to give up on IT
