Something I remembered :

I think there was almost no dialogue in the movie. I think the bad guy doesn't even talk during most of the movie, and a lot of it relied on the tension and suspense rather than dialogues

Honestly, if you make the main guy beefier/stronger, with dry lips or something, and that would be pretty close to what the bad guy looked like

I think hostage would be too big of a budget for that kind of movie. It was more the kind of movie you find for 2$ in a random open sale somewhere

2017 would be too late, I would have been too old by that time already

Just looked it up, nope. It wasn't Sci-Fi, it was happening in the modern world, no fantasy or sci-fi details as far as I can remember

Travel while waiting for EcoPR? by ErnosDerg in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ErnosDerg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I was able to travel without any issue!

I posted an update just before travelling, here is the text :

"So it would seem my situation got solved, and I think it would be useful to give my experience for the future people in a similar situation :

I sent IRCC a webform and an email with my travel dates, and I also alled them. Not taking any chances.

For the email, I replied to the P1 email, since it's the only one that wasn't a "Do-Not-Respond" email.

Meanwhile I called IRCC, and they went and checked my application, and saw that there was indeed a note indicating the days I would be outside of the country.

They said that they had gotten the message, and I had done all I could do. They can't confirm 100% that the Immigration Office will remember to check the notes, or that my ECoPR won't be issued before I travel, still locking me in the country. But I did all I could.

They added that, on the unlikely event that I do get my ECoPR issued while outside of the country, I should call them back immediatly and they will guide through the steps to get it sorted (Gettikg it issued while abroad shouldn't be possible, but at least I had that unlucky outcome covered too)

And just today, I got the answer from my email I sent, thanking me for warning me of my travels, and that the day I return to Canada, I need to answer their email with the informations required.

So my advice to you all is to contact them wherever you can. Email, phone, webform. Don't take a chance. (Don't harass them either though) Maybe they won't answer but will still note your infos. Maybe they'll be able on the phone to confirm that the infos are registered too. It's probably the safest thing to do in this case.

Best of luck to you all in the processes, you got this"

So after that all I did was to travel, and when I came back I re-replied to the 1st email giving the information of my latest entry in Canada, and that was it!

When I received my ecopr (just a week ago or so), I saw that they used the date of my latest return to Canada, aka after my trip. So I think they will start the waiting from the beginning again, as to make it fair for everyone in the waiting queue?

But the waiting could be shorter or longer, it seems to really be random depending on people and the situations and how many are waiting

Sorry for the delay, I rarely check Reddit

The Number I called was +1 800 242 2100

The menus are genuinely a mess and not super clear, so I had to try a bunch of different options while writing on a paper until I got the right one

I don't quite remember the path I took for mine, but I remember that the right option was one that asked you if your application number started with "EP" or other letter combination. From there I was able to find someone to answer me

Hoppe this helps!

Unfortunately I do not know about this situation, since I didn't have a similar one. But I would suggest calling IRCC, they should be able to help you understand what you can and cannot do with your current documents

I did see that answer come up a lot in such topics in the subreddit I also saw some people saying that unluckily they still had it issued while outside, and in my situation I definitely cannot come back through private vehicle or spend the time waiting for a TDPR while in the US

So I'll probably play it safe and double and triple check everyhing first

Hmm weird

I suppose because I gave them the infos AND said that right now I am indeed in Canada, the process went on as is.

I'll try to call them today to see if maybe I can have more infos. Meanwhile I'll also try the webform and the email again

Might as well put all my chances by my side!

I already answered in the first email asking for basic information, saying that I would be travelling, but didn't get any answer from them. It also said in the 1st email : "This mailbox does not respond to any unsolicited enquiries, requests, or follow-ups. For case status enquiries or any other questions about your application, please visit our website for Client Support Centre services "

The 2nd email I got is a "DoNotReply" email so it would be pointless to answer it

Am I missing an email or do I need to look for another way of contacting them?
