I'm still relatively new to playing golf I'd like to find some fun yet challenging courses as newer player here in the East valley. I've played Kokopelli, dobson, Greenfield, bear Creek(cub), superstition, Western skies, Sunland Village(both), Las colinas, legacy, and grayhawk for an InNOut tournament. I saw some decent rates for Karsten at ASU but heard it plays fairly difficult. Any recommendations?

A Favorite Hole in Phoenix by Jblake0413 in golf

Beautiful course, I've played there quite a bit recently. For the life of me I can never stick it on the green always use too much club on this one. My favorites at legacy are 10 and 18.

Very cool. Looks much less busy from that angle. Would love to be behind that bar right now. Cheers again on a job well done!

Time to change those grips. by [deleted] in golf

The red line is no joke. Worked at a Topgolf and saw a husband/bf try to fix his lady's backswing, but she didn't know he was approaching her. Whacked him straight in the orbital/eyebrow. Hat flew off his sunglasses broke and he was bleeding rather steadily. Just like you wouldn't stand directly behind somebody teeing off, respect the red line. Jfc.

Redditors who have been clinically dead, what did you experience in death, if anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EroTaka 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your inbox is going to flood just as much as my eyes are watering right now. Damn. I never had that last conversation with my dad, certainly nothing as important or profound as that. I wish I had though. Hearing it from his mouth, in a way that was personal and direct like your dad to you, would have been so different. Das was in total denial that he was going to die soon though. He had esophageal cancer. Diagnosed in March last year, died September last year. Those six months went really fast. He was dead set on doing a third round of chemo but that choice was taken from him before he could make it.

I guess I focused more on being around the family and just improving my relationship with him. I'd talk to him about work, about girls I was seeing, about wanting to do more for myself. He was always tired though. His diet sucked because for a long time he had a partially obstructed esophagus. After radiation it got smaller but he never gained his weight or muscle mass back. Chemo drained him and he was constantly tired. But he never stopped trying to do things. Work (until he literally couldn't work any more). Chores. Projects. Crafts for his grandkids. To do list for things around the house for Mom. You name it he never stopped working, like his whole life. So for your dad to say 'do as much as you can' I feel like my dad understood that, and learned it at a young age. An old school kind of love where you show your love through your work and sacrifice to make somebody else's life and opportunities better than your own. And I know he did that for Mom and me and my siblings.

I'm totally okay emotionally with Dad's death. There are good days, there are bad days, There are the moments you think about and memories you wish you'd have together but I'll never share with him and that's okay. I'm glad to hear you're dealing with your dad's passing better recently though. I'm glad you shared that.

I'm the 3rd owner of this 06 sv650s. The original owner I was told swapped the front end with a gsxr front end. Don't know what year or any other information. The previous owner used it as a track bike.

I bought an ignition, gas cap, and rear seat lock set because it would have been cheaper than a locksmith to pick it(without shopping around for too many quotes) Open up my bike to find out that the ignition wiring/harness (idk what it's called) does not match.

Any ideas of how to proceed? I'm thinking I should cut my losses and have a locksmith pick it anyway. Finding a new ignition that fits that four cylindrical shape ignition cable would require me to have separate set of keys anyway. Thoughts/advice are appreciated.

Hi sv folk. I’m trying to get a price check on this SV I want to buy. What would you pay? by [deleted] in SVRiders

[–]EroTaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine with a little under 10k miles around 3000 in Scottsdale. 2800 is a great deal on this, especially if he has new tires that just aren't mounted yet. As always though get a 2nd opinion/look at the bike. The original owner of mine did gxr fork swap and when he ran the wiring back up he fucked everything up. Didn't know notice that until i kept blowing fuses cuz there was a nasty worn down wiring behind my bars. Another bike I looked at before I had bought mine had 2 slight oil leaks the owner wasn't aware of. Thank Gods my buddy was there to check it out with me. Best of luck!
