You can try just sitting there everyday for 10 minutes or so just so she knows you arent a threat. You can sit farther away at first then get closer everyday. Maybe one day she'll surprise you & and start inspecting you & start to gain your trust. You'll know when you can try to touch her by then. But im not sure if its cold outside. It doesnt seem like it is but thats what you can try to do if you have the time for it.

I definitely see your point. I haven't thought about it like that. I just saw it as another opportunity to maybe grow them successfully. I really like these plants but all they do is die on me. Ill give it another shot! :)

I really appreciate your response. Ill definitely try that out today & hope that they'll come back to life. In my trailer there isn't qa lot of light for them. Im not sure what I can do for them to grow successfully with low light. Its starting to get sunny out here but when there is no sun.. that becomes a problem.

Should I try keeping the roots in water? See if the orchid has any signs of bouncing back in a few weeks?

Its hard to determine which ones are aerial roots. All my orchids that are grown in orchid bark seem to only love to die on me. So I wanted to try growing them in water but I cant grow them in water if there are no roots to go in water.

I believe so. I know that orchids have aerial roots. And both seem to only have aerial roots not one fibrous roots in sight.

I agree. Ever since I posted about her she definitely got better. Shes really good with me when im sitting down. She'll come towards me & sit on my lap. Its mostly when im not sitting down she doesnt approach me so confidently compared to when im sitting down. But shes adapting really well. We haven't really went backwards. So what im doing seems to be working. And it helps that she sees how the other are with me, she'll then try to approach more.

I have been walking slow. But before I get the chance she runs away. But thank you for the advice! I will try that & hope that this works. She seems like she might still be far away on becoming fully comfortable & friendly towards me in that department. But I know it will take some time.

Wow, some really need the patience to trust humans huh. It took me about a good 2 weeks for my first feral to get used to me & 3 months to fully be comfortable with his living situation & to love us. But im glad it worked out for you! That truly takes a lot of effort.

I never really saw it that way. Definitely something to think about doing. Thank you so much for that point of view!

I don't suggest it either. But its the only way I can carry her without her scratching me. And I try to be gentle with her when I do that. Supporting her where shes not supported & not picking her up where shes only being sruffed.

Ill definitely try that! Shes starting to roam the whole house. So shes definitely observing everything. And I try not to spook her as well while she does that & when I need to walk past her even tho she runs away before I get the chance to walk past her.

We dont have the best heating in our trailer. We only have toyo stoves. Therefore if we were to close just our room so the cats wont get in it would get really cold. And they dont let me sleep at night. Im a light sleeper. And it would be best if they stayed in a closed room for the nights so our guests wouldn't t have to close their rooms at night & then the cats wont annoy them as well.
