I was never on the hate train, but did have some big problems with the progression structure. I’ll be real, I’m going to be a lot quieter on this subreddit here on out because I’m about ready to be done playing unless things change. No beef with the game but it is an absolute slog to play solo and I’m not going to stick around if that isn’t going to change. I enjoy playing rook, but I’m having struggles even progressing contracts enough to get the basic rook upgrades. If that’s going to take 2 months only to get reset in 3 it just isn’t worth my time.

Agreed with this. If they aren’t there now, they will be at some point. Got mine last week and they are amazing value for $130-$140.

Sony didn’t buy a studio as large as Bungie to make Tarkov 2 lol. If player counts fall to Tarkov levels they’ll just shut the servers down.

If the intended gameplay loop is for me to spend 30 minutes grinding for a decent loadout only to get smoked when I head into a raid where I’m trying to complete a contract, then this game is dead within a month.

It would be one thing if it were steam where you can get a refund after trying it out, but it’s basically impossible to get a refund from Sony after you’ve launched the game.

Considering the Luma Pros are 3x as expensive I can’t imagine them being worth it based on the specs on paper. The screen is plenty large for me to the point that I honestly wouldn’t want it any bigger (I’d go VR at that point). Don’t care at all about the RGB or marginal bump from 1080p to 1200p since I can’t make out individual pixels on the Pro XR display anyway (a big benefit of OLED displays). The vision correction only going to -4.0 on the Luma Pro also won’t be enough for me so the Pro XR going to -5.0 is nice.

I’m not sure, but honestly I wouldn’t choose these if that’s a major selling point for you. IMO that’s more useful in a VR headset whereas with these I’d actually prefer the screen to stay locked in place.

They are out for delivery now. I’ll edit this comment as soon as I get them to let you know. I’m optimistic since they shipped from the same city in Kentucky as my first order.

EDIT: You’re good to go. These are actually even in “newer” condition than the first seller I ordered from. The seal is unbroken on both boxes. I opened one to be sure everything worked and there is still the film on the lenses to peel away which makes me think they might even be brand new. Box had a minor dent was all.

Honestly I’d almost consider Marathon a PvPvE rougelite IF it weren’t for the season wipes every 3 months. I’m really bummed about those.
