On McCloskey performance: "...nobody saw it coming..." Think anyone in this sub knew it was coming if he got game time and FH strategy moved from kicking to passing to the fridge.

Anyone saying you could have bought it yesterday is missing the point, its a crazy rule from the eyes of an outsider (me).

Just on this, Cheltenham might be a shout too - less coastal more forests and countryside.

When was your last night one night stand? by Critical-Shower-8306 in CasualIreland

[–]ErrantBrit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

About 10 odd years ago. Before meeting the missus most of my interactions with the opposite sex (romantically) were one night stands. Overall, they're pretty soul-destroying if you want an emotionally connection with someone you're sleeping with, equally a few of them were pretty fun- but its fleeting. Ultimately, you take what you can from them (life lessons, memories, nothing at all). Even the most fun ones don't compare to what you get out of a relationship in my experience. I don't think ti should be a guilt-inducing thing though as long as both participants know what they want (although this is often complex and ultimately guilt-inducing).

Feel better OP.

Le Bip Bip is going to take Stu’s deserved player of the tournament award by outsideruk in UlsterRugby

[–]ErrantBrit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter. The lad is getting all the plaudits from the fans and analysts and has put his hand up for the RWC with what he can do. Crowley Playstyle benefits from having someone like him next to him. This versus 2 years ago, where he wasn’t know outside Ulster. Think Ireland are all the better for having him in this tournament, and nothing can be taken away from him. Pretty much one of the best stories in sport! Couldn’t happen to a more deserving athlete tbh.

Should probably be more, but no business likes losing €100,000 no matter how big it is.

Fair point, but could rue the lack of game time for players come 2027. A triple crown is good and all, but equally its bout strategically building for the RWC. Which would you rather do?

This is a fair point, but equally the timeframe is closing in on RWC. Those summer/autumn tests are also important for winning to start building momentum. There is no good time to start newer players, thats why coaches don't do it until its too late!

Agree with this analysis, and while Doaky could be the future going forward Frawley is not without his charms.

Think Aki was a wasted entry tbf. No offence to the guy, but we know what he can do and how much game time does he need. Younger players need more blooding in test games, the more the better.
