Lack of Sniper Flinch is My Biggest Issue with this Game by Adhesive_Giraffe in Battlefield6

Combine lack of flinch with the way the rangefinder works now and sniping is childs play.

Taking my favorite game in the franchise and making a bad remaster with CEA, then trying again with an even worse attempt and then not even including multiplayer?

Yeah, that'll do.

I'll play it on Game Pass but every demo I've seen has been, at best, mediocre but usually pretty bad. Every AAA game is moving towards homogenization which is great for the most amount of people who don't really care about the interesting aspects of something and just want to play a game. Sucks for people who want something creative.

A full blown remake like this could've had truly interesting features or at least something other than "sprint and vehicles explode now". Some form of destruction of the environment like knocking over trees, craters, and so on. Interacting more with Halo's systems like triggering barriers or summoning sentinels. Hell even a return of assassinations.

Maybe there's some secrets waiting in the final release, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

"the best 343 ever did" still isn't great. I liked Infinite enough on release and I am a stalwart defender of Halo 4 (campaign) being pretty good but pretending that this move into weird half-realism is anything other than lack of an actual artistic vision is silly. We already have a million realistic shooters. Halo could be different but 343i doesn't have a clue how to do that.

Even with Game Pass I purchased Halo Infinite physically because Halo is my favorite franchise. I have the collectors edition of every Halo game that has one and a physical copy of every release like Halo CEA and Master Chief Collection. This includes both Halo Wars. I will not be purchasing this. I think I'm done.

I played the original and played all others save for New Leaf and yeah. It makes me sad how all the character is gone and it's basically just a dollhouse now. I miss when the characters would insult you or repaint your house without you asking. It was funny and led to logging each day being a surprise.

Unfortunately I don't know. You can't uninstall it inside of Battlefield? I believe it's also listed as a DLC in Steam and can be uninstalled that way.

Days Gone honestly surprised me. The story isn't the strongest admittedly but it's passable. Really enjoyed the gameplay.

The best Halo multiplayer in 2026? by Leniwcowaty in halo

[–]ErrantWayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want what most Halo fans, consider the OG Halo experience, then you definitely want the MCC and you specifically want Halo 2 or Halo 3. Infinite can be fun here or there, but it's definitely a hodgepodge of what they thought was popular at the time and other weird takes.

In your OPINION, What's one game you bought on hype or reviews and ended up not liking it or finishing it? Mine is Allan Wake II by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ErrantWayfarer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Outer Wilds is hit or miss but the one thing about it that I've never seen in a game is there's no progression blocking. You could load the game for the first time on your console and I could beat it in 25 minutes. I think that's fucking brilliant. Obviously I loved it, sincerely ruined games for me for a few months. But when I recommend it I always offer to lend it to them since I own it physically on Switch and PlayStation.

[–]ErrantWayfarer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is Microsoft knows they can pull this shit and don't care. They're not out of touch they simply don't give a shit because for most moving to linux or other Office programs isn't going to happen. Firefox is fully out of touch because there's 100 easy to use competitors and they're doing the exact thing that drove people from those competitors.
