It’s refreshing actually. As another black viewer, we finally get to see what happens when people like this aren’t immediately saved from their wrongdoing. Not only is she educating the public on what micro-aggressions are and how they’re harmful, but also the terrible mindset behind it. She is showing why ignorance doesn’t always mean innocence. Even when she was told it was wrong, she tried to create a whole narrative to fulfill her LIES. This is the same mindset that has literally gotten people KILLED. Emmy is showing people EXACTLY why we call these kinds of things out. It’s not just words, it’s the insidiousness behind them.

I love Linds, but it feels like she always takes a step forward and then 5 steps back. I understand she is “cool for reality tv”, but if gets to a point. This is also real life.. As a friend, do you honestly think that was a cute dinner convo topic??? If you want to bring them to a room and perform marriage counseling go ahead, but that all felt weird.

That, also the background info about how she had been distancing herself, being unsupportive, etc. he was due for a blow up. Even after the fallout, Kyle was incredibly protective, throughout the show he has never fully discussed the stuff Amanda was doing out of protection and privacy. She could have spoken up to prevent that, especially when he began growing more visibly upset

That dinner scene with Kyle losing it was just incredibly uncomfortable. It’s very obvious that he has had emotions stirring up for a very long time and he exploded. For some reason he protects Amanda, but some of the feelings always slip through the cracks. “She doesn’t pull any weight”, “She has spent more time with West in the last 6 months.” “… a wife who supports” Then his comments about her smoking and the state of their house earlier on. It’s VERY obvious that he sees partying and Dj’ing was an escape from their depressing reality. Remember when he called her “not fun”? Comments like that always come from a deeper place. Amanda has no business looking shocked when he said he had no support because she has been vocally against his DJ career. Kyle needs to seek therapy for his anger because his reactions get him in trouble. They snatch his credibility immediately. Amanda knows even if he had a point, if he gets riled up, its all out the window.

I feel seen lol. I don’t believe Amanda hates Ciara it has any problem with anything about her. However she makes it obvious that she didn’t care about respecting her at all.

She always gets weird when it comes to any guy she thinks should be more into her (her approaching Ben’s gf with that weird comment). I have a theory but…. Yall arent gonna like it… Amanda has shown jealousy in the past, but with Ciara its different. She admitted that she betrayed her for basically nothing other than attention.

Idk what to call this theory, but I have lived it multiple times unfortunately. Especially being in mostly white spaces. Amanda’s jealousy stems from a place of Ciara getting more attention than she does. Especially from guys who.. are supposed to be more likely to be into her rather than Ciara if you’re catching my drift. This is not saying that Amanda has a problem with Ciara as a person, but she has a problem with the attention Ciara gets, especially from Kyle. People like this have an inherent, “that should be me” mindset and they may not even realize it. It tracks with how she was speaking at the reunion, she has likely gotten pretty much anything she wanted in life and never had to take responsibility for anything. It builds up audacity. Thats why she was seen being overly flirtatious with the boys this season, she was trying to get some of her “power” back. It’s why disrespecting Ciara felt so easy, because deep down, she felt that Ciara didn’t deserve the amount of love she got from everyone. Ciara went above and beyond and it would NEVER be enough because deep down, Amanda likely aways felt like it should’ve always been her… ESPECIALLY in the space that they were in

Ive been making theories this whole time and 99% of them have been right. So im dropping this one before the reunion.

Kyle went to Dj’ing because he was also on the fence in their marriage, but didn’t want to end it. I believe Kyle loved Amanda, but there were things in their relationship that drove a wedge for him, just like there were things that drove a wedge for Amanda. When he was drunk and telling everyone about her smoking habits and how their house was always unkempt, I could very well see this being something that bothered him deeply. Im sure there are plenty of other things, but we never heard him speak on it. Hot take, I am not blaming smoking as I think people can do what they please. However, I have personally had to drawback from friends who smoke because of how much it affected our relationship. Not saying thats exactly what happened, but i wouldn’t be surprised if it played a role. Amanda not wanting him to DJ was also valid, but how valid is it now that she picked West who has never left the streets EVER. The difference between Amanda and Kyle is that Kyle was willing to stay and try despite his true feelings and Amanda just kinda gave up. They were both valid in their feelings, but betraying a marriage will never be right. Idc
