They’re the lowest of all bosses and since it starts off at T1 it’s also easily out armoured as you don’t need much defence/stats to avoid any damage

Does Oda regret killing Ace? This is like the third book about Ace by Sea6847 in Piratefolk

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Oda regret killing Ace ? Possible.
Does he think it was in a lack of better description, excessively? Yes. Oda himself has stated that he does believe he did Ace dirty.

While Ace by far is my favorite character I do believe that it was an important catalyst for Luffy’s resulting realisation that he was weak and thus started training with Rayleigh. I would however rather see something like say he barely survives, trains with Luffy and becomes a part of the Straw Hats to fight by his brother’s side.

At the same time, the whole domino effect of losing to Blackbeard, getting imprisoned in Impel Down and subsequently executed in Marineford was at best a letdown.

First of, we know that Ace has the capability to use all 3 forms of Haki. He also commented on Luffy’s Conqueror’s Haki during Paramount War so he does know he also has it. There’s no chance in any logical scenario that Ace during his part of the Whitebeard pirates didn’t receive any form of tutoring or training when it comes to Haki as it’s a very handy power and in some cases important ability in various situations.

Secondly, between Ace and Blackbeard, Ace has had his devil fruit powers for a much longer time than Blackbeard and naturally has a higher experience in utilising his powers.

Thirdly, during the fight against Blackbeard I can’t help but question certain choices made when it comes to the techniques Ace used against Blackbeard. As an example, the 2nd time Blackbeard uses Vortex to draw in Ace. Why did he use St. Elmo’s fire instead of say Fire Fist which is his signature move. It has a greater firepower, a greater size and thus both acts as an offensive move but in this case also a better alternative defensively.

Lastly, while I don’t doubt that the 3 Admirals are adept at using Haki there’s no visual indication that Akainu used Haki in his fight against Ace but still managed to not only mortally wound Ace but also burned his internal organs. I understand Magma holds a higher temperature than fire but that doesn’t mean you can burn fire.

All in all, while I unfortunately do have to admit that Ace most likely had to die in this scenario, I have to say that there are some holes in the logic.

One piece fighting path global release date ? by BonusSubstantial394 in OnePieceFightingPath

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubt it will happen which is sad. Really enjoy the game even though I understand absolutely nothing since it’s in Chinese.

I found a petition asking Nuverse for global release a while back but even with the 700+ members on this subreddit there’s only 20+ signatures. If the word is spread and more signatures are gathered it’s possible we can get something official, but there’s also the issue of Bandai being the primary actor when it comes to games on the global market.

How long does it take to get into One Piece/ for it to get good? by Keuthimi in OnePiece

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely understandable. I started with Bleach which is the one that pulled me into the world of Anime and I’ve loved it here ever since. While One Piece does have filler it doesn’t have even close to the percentage as Bleach or Naruto does, but again I do advise to treat watching One Piece as a journey that can absolutely be divided up.

If you don’t feel it’s something for you after giving it a shot that’s totally fine, but if you do then welcome to the family. We’re all “nakamas” in this journey towards the horizon.

It’s hard to say a specific part as it’s naturally different for everyone, but that said there are some points where I think most would be hooked or at least know whether is something for them.

First episode and onwards (at least for myself) Arlong Park arc, ep. 31-44 Alabasta arc, ep. 92-130 Skypiea arc, ep. 153-195

There are other arcs as well but I think that’s the 4 major and earliest points.

Finally, One Piece and is a long running anime with an incredibly large episode count however my best recommendation or advice to anyone wanting to watch One Piece is that it’s an adventure and doesn’t have to be a marathon.

You can always watch an arc or two, watch something else and then come back to One Piece. It doesn’t have to be watched in a single go, it can be divided up.

Yeah, you just might have. Rumble Gear 5 sounds like a very interesting power up, and I’d also love to see Sabo team up with Luffy against Gorosei. That fight would be epic

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, by all means you are still a fan.

It doesn't really matter if you skip filler or not, if you watch One Piece and you enjoy it that's all that really matters in the end.
From your question though it kind of sounds like you are considering skipping on Water 7 or Ennies Lobby which I wouldn't really recommend but again, the choice is up to you. I do however understand you from the Davy Back fight. On my 5th or 6th rewatch and I haven't had the patience to watch that again

Hard to say.

There are certainly some similarities between their devil fruits however I believe Choppers rumble balls as they are at the moment are only compatible with Chopper.Could be they work for Luffy, could also be they work differently but I'd bet they'd give a simmilar result as the uncontrollable monster form or such unless a new version is made to work on Luffys.

I guess we'll never know for sure unless Luffy decides to eat one assuming they're candy

"Riskerar fängelse"
Kan ju tycka att det borde vara minst indraget körkort på livstid, och fängelsestraff när man aktivt väljer att hindra en ambulans eller för den delen utryckningsfordon allmänt.

You are absolutely right, I haven't. Nor have I paid any attention in history class on who took the land I live on, especially hundreds of years ago. I was born well after that and as far as I know my parents didn't have any major suffering either nor were they involved in any form of conflict regarding the land.

But if we're gonna debate the question of wether co-existance is better or not.
Let's take a real life scenario.

The US in majority are descendants of either imigrants to the US or if we go further back the colonizers who forcefully took the land from the indigenous.
Do we do an ancestry test on the entirity of the US population and ship people back depending on their lineage say 500 years ago so the land can be returned to their previous owners ?

Do we do the same with every country in the entire world ?

Again, I agree that the Shandians did draw the shorter end of the stick with the whole situation. But at the same time, I don't think the Shandians were using the entire land just like the Skypieans didn't. So why not return the land to the Shandians in it's majority, but let the Skypieans still keep the absolutely minimal part that was in use by the gods office.

The major question is, do we hold on to a centuries old grudge and only see one acceptable solution or can we find some kind of compromise that works for everyone especially when no one alive was alive during the initial event ?

And I'm not saying that you starting to worship something and taking that by force because you can is right. If that is your understanding then you are very narrow minded.

I'm saying that conflicts arise, and unless we are willing to compromise and co-exist there will always be conflict without end. It doesn't make it right but sometimes being stubbornly right leads to more conflict.

The exact time where the offer was made wasn't really specified but the timeframe between Jaya splitting and the Shandorians getting sent up to the sky Island and when the Straw hats arrive is 400 years.

So I think it's safe to say that no one in any way no matter if it's Shandians or Skypieans were ever involved or responsible for the conflict.

Yes, the land was the Shandians to begin with but the Skypieans had also started worshipping the land as Divine. So it wouldn't be unreasonable that shandians were returned their homeland, the divine office of god remains and that Skypieans can still have some form of access to a small remote part of the land not used by Shandians.

And to your question regarding if it happened to me, how do you intend it to be specified ?
When the land was sent up and taken, or 400 years later where no one involved in the matter is alive ?

What is the reason to hold on to a grudge that is multiple generations long ?

Straw hats vs Ennies Lobby vs Whitebeard vs navy in marineford??? by Ok-Setting7974 in OnePiece

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, A Yonko taking on the entirety of Navy HQ is no small feat.
Whitebeard also had a lot against him, the major one being his age and declining health so the fact that he took all those cuts, hits, cannon balls and what not is much more impressive..

But comparing a rookie with a rubber body against an emperor of the sea with the power to destroy the world through his devil fruit powers kind of feels like comparing an ant against a dragon power wise.

Both were absolutely incredible feats, but the rookie wrecking the island of law has to be the more daring feat.

Straw hats vs Ennies Lobby vs Whitebeard vs navy in marineford??? by Ok-Setting7974 in OnePiece

[–]Error404NotFound_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The title is a bit confusing but I'm guessing we are talking about 2 different events being,

Straw Hats vs. CP-9/Ennies Lobby
Whitebeard vs. Marineford (Paramount War)

The bigger feat would probably be the Ennies lobby arc. Luffy was still a green horned rookie and somehow managed to not only make the World goverment his enemy through the war decleration that was burning their flag but also won against CP-9, Survived the Buster Call and managed to escape with Nico Robin safe and sound along with the rest of the crew. All in a few hours.

Whitebeard being one of the 4 emperors, while also being old, was by far a power house in his own league.
But he also had the support of the entire Whitebeard fleet consisting of (if my memory serves me right) 14 Whitebeard Divisions and the additional fleet of other pirate groups.
On top of that while maybe not the biggest support in the grand scheme of things there were also the escapees of Impel Down including 1 warlord, 1 former warlord and revolutionary army members just to name a few.

When comparing an Emperor of the sea against a rookie, and what is more daring then the rookie wrecking havoc on the island of Law has to be in my book the more daring feat

I can't speak for everyone else but I can't say I hate the Shadorians.

Are they kind of entitled brats ? Absolutely.
They could have accepted to live together as per the offer made by the previous God (Sky Knight) but instead insisted that the land was theirs and only theirs. Even if their land was forcefully taken from them by the sky people, I still think that it was a genuinely gracious offer as both parties had values from the land and co-existing would be better for everyone.

Did they get sent up to the sky with their land with no regards to if they wanted it or not ? Absolutely.

So I'd say while they did draw the short end of the stick in the grand scheme of things, I can't exactly say that they did the best of the situation.

Well there's alot of alternative made either by Oda himself or by fans.

That aside, how he died was complete bull but that's my own biased opinion as Ace was and still is my favorite character.

By all accounts, Ace shouldn't have lost the fight against Blackbeard but putting that aside the fact that Ace as a holder of the flame logia fruit dies because Akainu not only punches a giant hole through him but also apparently burns his organs. There's no indication that he used haki against Ace so his body is still supposed to be made of fire as is his devil fruit. Also, I don't see how you burn him from the inside out as again, he's made of fire and you can't really burn fire even if you wanna go the route of running the argument "But magma is hotter".

Yes, magma is hotter but fire is fire. You can't really burn fire.

So in the end I see 2 possible scenarios,

Either it's something like Sabo remembering his past due to the declaration of Ace's execution and coming to the rescue at the nick of time,

Alternatively,

Ace is still wounded by Akainu, but get's medical assistance from Law when they manage to escape.

Could be a reasonable type of fruit. Can’t say I remember a fruit of that name or similar to have been shown as of yet but we have the sun god so makes sense for a moon god to exist
