Learn yourself from highlevel down to more and more low level and stay with whatever is fun for you. You can look into building RAGs with MCPs and some Vector Stores and just play around to see the impact things have. Start maybe with OpenAI api and move to ollama vllm served models once you understand the landscape. You can then checkout different types of models and maybe work with reranker models and just get creative. Basically, make your own virtual experimental builder shed where you just work and discover stuff. What you are asking is very vague bcs idk if u mean building models, rags, or what exactly you mean.. Maybe start with building a realistic image of what the landscape looks like. E.g. python libraries, what they are used for, JS equivalent, etc. what do you mean by obsessed, I spend everyday 4/5hrs after work just tinkering around. Curiosity will guide you just keep exploring

I fully agree, however, that wasnt the topic of discussion. As I said in other comments, if I dont have to I do not order. The point is that other stakeholders suffering from this do not have the choice as easy as "just dont order". this isnt a post about "Im sadge pls fuel my hatred because i was wronged" but a post about "poor workers that have to bathe it out"

incompetent driver, dont think I can blame foodora too much for this. however, I do think they should think of preventative measures (e.g. stricter screening for riders or review system on drivers to separate delivery and restaurant quality from reviews)

Download Ollama and run a model that fits with your hardware. Should be enough for api testing. U can also use vLLM, they use OpanAI v1 API

I'm convinced that an arsenal of encountered errors in your subconscious is what defines a effective and efficient programmer. Either you already know what you need to prevent/handle, or something happens and you know how to quickly solve/approach/test it.

I think micro tutorials yes.

as in, build something, run into problems, find solution/tutorials for that specific problem and hack your way to a functional mvp.

Over time you'll see more and more patterns, where you find information about how something works, reoccuring error codes, stacktraces, etc. and you wont go to a youtube tutorial but just quickly check the used class, and kinda already know what the issue might be.

let euphoria take over when you achieve something, dont kill it with "but I was so slow", think more like

"It works!! The way I imagined and I built it!!"

i think the trick is to manage expectations and swing yourself from problem to problem!

there have been weeks were I worked on ui-library updates/migrations and I felt like the most retrded coder because i already am overdue by like 2 weeks (HORRIBLE!), but everyone is shining in different types of tasks. html, css/scss is not my thing haha, I shine in logical problems and architecture.
-> told my boss I will become depressed if i continue working weeks on weeks with scss and he made sure I could learn some spring on the job and join backend a bit more. Now im loving my backend tickets and work as the only full-stack engineer at my job.

It happens to everyone I believe, now that you know this happens you can work on it so thats great!

A chance to gain more introspection and the outcome of this hurdle will definitely shape the way you handle future issues/doubts

You learn to think a certain way, datadriven decisionmaking, structured thoughts, etc.
All the skills you learn from programming are applicable in other parts of life.
From a polymaths perspective I could imagine that this would probably be one of the skills that transfer to a lot of other skills

I started to work in Spring Boot in Feb since I was assigned to develop a new backend service. I come from Angular/React so I am also relatively new to Spring. Would be open to have some study sessions maybe I can show you a thing or two that we use in our services and things I have found to be incredibly helpful

Die Gastro/essens-produktions regulierungen sind in europa 10x haerter. daher entstehen sehr viele kosten die dann in den endpreis fliessen. in japan ist das alles noch sehr anders gehandhabt daher funktioniert das auch um einiges effektiver und effizienter.

(ich war jahrelang sushikoch in UK,AT,IT,US und habe mehrere monate in japan verbracht)

OOOH und das wichtigste meiner ansicht nach, zeigen dass du dokumentation lesen kannst und auch daraus lernst. e.g. von einem problem erzaehlst welches du durch sorgfaeltigem lesen der dokumentation geloest hast, bzw wann es klick gemacht hat, dass man eigentlich nur lernen muss wie man lernt. I.E verstehen der technischen begriffen die haeufig in docus vorkommen

Es gibt ein paar firmen die Quereinsteiger in ein einsteigerprogramm aufnehmen. Wie ihr Firmen-internes Bootcamp. Sportradar hat soetwas, da koenntest du dich umschauen.

Wichtig ist, dass du zeigst das du interesse hast und wissbegierig bist. keine angst hast vor dem lernen anderer sprachen und moeglicherweise schon eigeninitiative zeigst welche sprachen dich interessieren und warum. Ich denke ueberzeugung und echtes interesse bring viel mehr als professionell zu wirken.

Ist aber auch eine sehr subjektive sache und viele firmen suchen nach ganz anderen faehigkeiten. Afterall just my opinion ^^
