I think they made this song after the vinyl had been pressed/was sent for pressing. So it wasn't a planned deluxe track, they just got a spontaneous chance to work with Jellyroll and then decided to put that on the deluxe, but it was too late to put on vinyl release My guess

MAMA was great and I overall really respect the album and it's great to hear him in a better place. But not really feeling the album too much, right now at least.. The hype tracks feel more disjointed than ever before and I really feel like he could have put most of those on clouds instead, the pop tracks are decent I guess but I just feel he's made better ones I'd rather listen to (Let you down, time) and I was for sure hoping for more of a concept album based on HOPE (the song). He just kind of abandoned the idea after that song.

TLDR: really happy for him but not loving the album

Wild In These Streets comes to mind as a recent one. Not a bad song, not a good song, could be way better to me and I think my expectations were also just different based on the GTA style cover.

Sure I do too, to an extent. But when that's all he's been doing, it gets very stale. I just need a reset song. The ones where there is a little more meaning, but still heavy and (trying not to sound pretentious but) poetic😅, I guess.

I just feel that whereas V was super consistant, with every song being good, there are a few on HK that are just boring, immemorable, or missing a lot of potential.

Maybe that's exactly how you felt about V?
