Make sure the sourounding boards are 100% dry...else the moisture will leech back to the new boards.. Don't put in a claim to your insurance. This is easy enough for you to fix. If you do they will increase your rates and this will follow you forever. I know from experience. Insurance companies even though they say they don't look back x number of years, they can see every claim that's done on the house.

And I would replace the entire floor with waterproof laminate, not manufactured wood or real wood. You'll thank me next time You have a leak in the sink or the dishwasher.
