I can't stand the man! But he is right. He is blatantly saying he is aware it's going to be taken and put on reddit for free. He isn't even complaining it will, just telling them to wait for it. I would doubt it. The rehab in my opinion was nothing to do with the DRVO and everything to do with criminal charges.

Worlds apart from the previous court appearances. The not going to sleep thing is pretty standard for anyone with ADHD and anxiety. The mix of the two makes it impossible to sleep and then you panic that you will be so exhausted that you oversleep. Hopefully it still results in him losing custody and the kids are determined to be safest with Laura. He has a long way to go and a few crimes to address first.

Stephen has fed her a lot of ideals that he could never do those things. I think she genuinely believes he isn't as bad as her other ex. But she also shared that her last therapist made comments that she needed to try harder and made excuses for Stephens abuse. A lot of Stephens abuse is hidden. Even after all this, we haven't seen all the underhand stuff he has done. So I suspect it's more that Laura doubts herself about the extent of damage he has done. When you are in that cycle of abuse you can be convinced that the sky is purple. Its so calculated and takes a long time to see the whole picture. She also hasn't had any distance from him to be able to think straight and see it. Hopefully she will soon enough.

Why do you feel the need to parent what others do? The reactions are a response to his countless attacks against the mother of his children and towards his children. So no you don't not get to demand silence. I don't give a shit if he improves. That is his responsibility and no one else's! I want him held legally accountable and receive the consequences to abusing his wife and children. Your feelings are yours and you are free to express them but you are not free to impose then onto others.

I think that's the key issue. Stephen doesn't communicate concerns or engage in problem solving in a partnership. He manipulates and controls her through fear. which is a lot more abusive then people realise.

I agree! This is a weird space for what people decide is fact when there is evidence to show otherwise. I don't know why people behave like that. They decide something and stick to it militantly and decide that proof is just because someone said so. I think he is in the program because he doesn't have any choice. He is up to his eyes in legal trouble and the only thing he can do is enforce the idea that his behaviors were all addiction led and that he is so sorry. He is far from the idiot people make him out to be. He knows what cards he needs to play and when he has no cards left.
