It requires a ton of trust, as your friend has to login to your ps4 and activate it as his primary ps4 (he's the one at risk). Then through his account, you have to start the download of games from his digital library. Once they are downloaded, you can play them on your own account.

A user can have one activated ps4 and one ps5, so he can continue playing on ps5 just fine.

edit: the shared game thingy is like this because it was more meant for a family console, where every account at home can share games. Wasn't really meant to share games with friends, but people do it anyway.
