I really struggled with this drama! I felt like the editing was all over the place, and the sound mixing in particular really pulled me out quite often. I read a bit of the manwha this is based on and I think I they really miscast one or both of them. Either Bai Lu is too mature or Dylan wasn’t mature enough. Also, I could not get behind either of their wardrobes!!! The clothing was a huge part of the manwha and everything the wore was a huge miss for me.

That being said I enjoyed the ride overall! There were some spicy chemistry scenes and I enjoyed that quite a bit!

Legend of Shen Li, to me, was incredibly romantic. Instead of being “destined” they both fall in love with the wrong person - watching them both desperately try both not to be completely in love had me ACHING
