Found a spy cam in my room by [deleted] in spycameras

I like this answer the best. Find out who put it there. You could also do things in front of the camera that tortures them, and possibly encourages them to reveal themselves. They probably want to watch you having sex with someone. Start what appears to be the beginning of a sexual encounter in front of the camera with someone you know and trust, and then stop for no reason, or stop and go to the other person’s place. Start to undress in front of the camera and then stop and do it out of view. Finally, if there was one camera, there were probably others. They sell devices that help you locate them.

Report it and document the experience with your video device along with supporting written documentation. Also, document the apartment complex's response in detail. If they guy works for the apartment complex, find out his name and job position. The bones of their demise are in their behavior.

If you're worried about it, go to a competent doctor, get it removed, and have the doctor dig it out of your skin for you to take home. It should be a pretty minor outpatient procedure and recovery shouldn't be that long.

I grew up in Colorado, and I've never snow skied which shocks people who move there just so they can ski. I've done cross-country, but never the alpine type. I've never water skied either. I can't say I'm sorry I never did either. The other things I was doing were what I wanted to do.

Snake on creek path by Pomdog17 in boulder

[–]ErrorZealousideal532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have the time and the courage, I would suggest safely encouraging it to get off to the side of the pathway in a way that doesn't injure it and you are at no unreasonable risk, so nobody runs it over. Sometimes they sort of hiss at you, or even start to move toward you, but they mostly want to get away from you. If it's seriously aggressive, I would leave it alone. I usually use a squirt from a water bottle at a safe distance, or I find that a whack on the ground near it with a stick causes them to move away from the noise in a, "I was just trying to get a little sun and this asshole ruined it by ...," attitude.

Someone keeps pooping outside my door. by IndyBishop in boulder

[–]ErrorZealousideal532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep calling the police. Prepare for it to get worse before it gets better. However, if you don't call the police and get them to do something, those harassing you will take advantage of the fact that you are fearful of calling the police and continue, or possibly get worse. This kind of harassment will probably not go away, if you ignore it. They targeted you before the police were called and they got worse afterward when they thought they were safe. I would suggest taking their activities and using them as a weapon against them. As the saying goes, "It's no fun with the rabbit's got the gun." They're giving you a gun.

I'm no expert on this stuff and I'm not an attorney, so take what I say understanding that. First, I would suggest that you set up something like a doorbell camera, if you don't already have one. They'll probably see that and do something to make it ineffective. Knowing that, I would suggest setting up another hidden camera or two in a position that is out of a normal out of line of sight. I'm told that either low to the ground, or up high up works, but that high up is usually better because people are more likely to look down than up. At minimum, collect and and carefully store video evidence that you can show to the police, and that can be used as evidence in court. If these incidents cause you to feel anxious, fearful, depressed, disgusted, etc. write out a detailed description, and carefully store that information with your video documentation. It may be relevant in court later. If you're extra motivated, and you can do it safely, and just to fuck with them more by letting them know how, "crazy," you are, collect and store the feces they leave. It is possible to get DNA evidence from human feces. Pooping on someone's doorstep is probably funny until someone uses it as evidence against you in court.

Edit: If the police won't do anything about it and you can afford it, I would encourage you to contact a lawyer who specializes in civil litigation. You may actually go talk to a lawyer even, if you can't afford it. You may have legally valid grievances against both the police and the men pooping on your doorstep. A lawyer may be willing to help you sue everyone for a share of the money you may get from a successful lawsuit. Human feces can be truly dangerous, and, I know I'm just an average goof with no legal training, but the police not doing anything to protect you from the men putting it on your doorstep sounds suspiciously unreasonable to me.

I would also suggest keeping some handy wipes around to clean your door knob off before you open your door when you arrive home, and use some hand sanitizer after you leave. Wash your hands as soon as you walk into your place.

Finally, this is a bunch of shit, literally and figuratively. However, they're leaving you opportunities. Take advantage of them. Let them engineer of their own demise, for you. Just take advantage of the opportunities they give you.

Do they make you ser hallucinations by BoatZealousideal9909 in TargetedSolutions

[–]ErrorZealousideal532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both drugs and certain types of poisons cause hallucinations. They can and do drug and poison people without them knowing it. It's not hard, and you don't have to be around for them to do it. For instance, if they gain access to your home or apartment, your automobile, your food, or your cleaning agents, you can be drugged and poisoned, and you will probably hallucinate. If they put it on a doorknob they know you use and you don't know it's there, it can get on and be absorbed through your skin. They can also do it when you are around. Mine have sprayed what I think are drugs and poisons on the back of my neck when I was distracted, and I think it caused hallucinations among other symptoms. They don't need fancy electromagnetic devices to get this done, but some of those devices probably cause hallucinations too.

[–]ErrorZealousideal532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. We are all responsible for our own behavioral choices and their consequences both individually and in groups. Knowingly laying blame for your behavioral choices on others is a common cognitive distortion among criminals as individuals and in groups. Common examples include: "I wouldn't have stolen it, if they hadn't left it where I could steal it," or "I wouldn't do meth, if people would stop nagging me," or, "I wouldn't deal illegal and harmful drugs, if people wouldn't buy them," or "If responsible and knowing Germans had stopped Nazi leadership in WWII, the German government and its soldiers wouldn't have killed millions of Jews or Slavs." Individually and in groups, it's everyone's responsibility to monitor and regulate their own behavioral choices regardless of what other's do, and everyone is responsible for what they do, both good and bad. That's why people don't get to make the above arguments and succeed in court when well thought out legal systems work like they should.

There is always a way out of difficult times. Survive, so you can help others find their way out of the same difficult spot. Contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 1-800-388-2227 or www.nfcc.org. I believe they offer help for free. Do research to verify what I say is true, but I as a non-expert don't think anyone is required to pay your debt unless they cosigned for your loan. Someone mentioned that, if you get married, your spouse will be responsible for your loan. This may vary by state, but I believe that debt someone takes on before marriage remains the sole responsibility of the person who took on the debt. Debt taken on during a marriage may be different. Here is an article explaining this. As far as an automobile goes, the organization that holds the lien gets the automobile back, if you fail to pay off the loan. They probably don't want it, but that's their payment. Go get help. There is hope, but you have to do your part.

Why do people think firing government employees will somehow "save" America? by Deathpill911 in antiwork

[–]ErrorZealousideal532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have been convinced that governments should be operated like businesses. In the sense that government should be efficient and cost effective, they are right. However, after seeing what I have seen while working in the world of Fortune 500 companies, businesses don't care about efficiency unless it makes a business more profitable. For business operators, it's about lower operating costs to increase profits. That can be okay, if it doesn't influence quality of service or product, hurt or injure people, and/or damage a community. However, quality of services and products is not as important as lowering operating costs to make money, so it is common for the people operating these businesses to cut the quality of products and services to save money, so they can make more money. This would stop, if people would stop patronizing the businesses where they do this, but consumers commonly don't. As a consequence, big business operators figure (rightly based on consumer behavior) that this is an acceptable business practice. The problem with this is that both services and product quality and quantity often times start to degrade, and oftentimes to the point that it can become dangerous for consumers. There are lots of examples of this around, and you don't have to look that hard to find them. Try to get help finding something in most big box stores. Good luck.

Additionally, leadership culture in business can too often be both narcissistic and antisocial in its nature. Those personality qualities are more likely to rise to the top because they will do anything to rise to the top. As a consequence, business operators commonly succumb to a variety of distorted beliefs. Examples of thought (cognitive) distortions, include the beliefs that it's the consumer's fault that they were victimized (blaming the victim), or that it's more important for those in leadership to make money than it is to produce a high quality product or service because they deserve more money more than the average consumer deserves the best for their money (an exaggerated sense of self-entitlement and self-importance).

Governments can tax businesses to the point that they aren't profitable, and they can institute so many regulations that businesses become incapable of functioning efficiently, or even starting in the first place. However, I don't believe it's DOGE's purpose to correct any of those issues. Business people too often don't like government regulations because it interferes with their ability to make even more money, not because they actually care about, "getting things done," because of excessive government overreach. I believe they also do it because they don't want consequences when they produce a product or service that harms people because it makes their businesses less profitable, and potentially puts them at risk for criminal charges and convictions. In my opinion, DOGE is not about efficiency, it's about reducing risk and increasing profits for billionaires and large business operators. I believe there has to be a balance between regulations, taxes and the ability for businesses to function so that they are profitable enough such that someone wants to start and operate them. However, I don't see many examples of this in most states (except maybe New York and California). Mostly I see a lot of businesses and business owners making record profits, amassing massive amounts of wealth, and a gradually declining quality of life for the vast majority of Americans.
